I'm almost 95% sure her final mark will be an apple flower, though an apple heart seems just cheesy enough to be possible for something like MLP. Still, my money's on a flower.
From what I've heard about that image, that is from a previous generation of My Little Pony shows. I don't remember which one though.
Well this image was posted on Equestria Daily and they said not to believe this image. I don't have the link to it though so I can't prove it. Either way, the only way to find out if that does end up being her cutie mark, is to wait and see as the current season progresses.
Yeah, I'm not saying it's real, especially not if ED says it ain't, just that it doesn't look like previous gen. Although, considering the box says, 2014, if it was real, we'd have seen it by now anyway, so
I think it was in a promo but it may have just been something Hasbro pulled out of their ass before changing it. Scoot and Sweetie's CMs are from G3 and the one's Ive seen in stores just have the names for the CMC.
It doesn't necessarily have any bearing on the show. I'm still guessing that she'll have a non-apple cutie mark, but that's just because that's what I would do if I was writing the show; the actual evidence points in too many directions to be sure.
In thinking about it, that episode where she gets all those cutie marks I really do think the writer's missed the oppertunity of giving her an "orange" cutie mark. When Big Mac said, "Not even an apple." it would have made the scene fit better I think. But I think the Heart Apple cutie mark looks really good and would suit her well.
These are the same cutie marks that were leaked a while back with the recipe cards. Personally, I think they're maybe more than a little lame. But who knows. In the hands of the writers, who are amazingly capable of spinning Hasbro straw into gold, they might work. I'd be disappointed though, if this is really what they're going for. With all the hype and expectation they really need to fake us out and do something amazingly unexpected, yet appropriate in hind sight. Also It's gotta be cooler than just a random apple or butterfly or heart. Too cliché.
Within her character, it kinda makes a little bit of sense. As we've seen, the job is important because Equestria's wildlife isn't just annoying, it's potentially devastating. Maybe not the bugs she was fighting in her dream but definitely parasprites. So, it's not like we're fobbing her off on something awkward or particularly unpleasant and, you can get stories out of that. A little adventure, a little about responsibility, yadda yadda. Maybe with a big ol' nasty to fight off from the orchard and your good. Applebloom, Defender of the Sweet Apple Acre's Orchard! But, it's going to be that Appleheart thing and symbolises compassion or determination or something like that...
Why did they have to keep leaking them like this? It just makes me more and more disappointed. I might have not minded so much if this wasn't such a spoiler... then again... I'll just have to wait and see.
It may not be a spoiler at all. Hasbro's merchandise ponies seem to live in their own little world which is only loosely tied to the cartoon. For example: it took them forever to not use Cheerilee's G3 cutie mark for once. They also have problems with the simple placement of cutie marks, plastering them everywhere except for where they belong. So, when it comes to cutie marks, don't worry too much about it.
