Ok so I got to thinking after watching Hearth's Warming Eve yesterday that except for the fact that the Windigoes don't sing both of them feed off anger and negative emotions so do you think that Sirens might be related to Windigoes somehow?
It's possible that they're related. They are similar in appearance, and they both feed off of negative emotions. Taxonomy is difficult with fictional creatures.
It's possible that it's like the unicorns/pegasi/earth ponies. Same basic species with minor differences, but enough to call them a different things and easily distinguish between them.
Like Ridley said, it's hard to say whether they're related, especially since the mythos of the MLP:FiM universe dually endorses the existence of magic and science. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
I believe so. Windigoes are an elemental creature though. Their core comes from cold winds and negative emotions, much like ghosts are spirits with negative emotions. Windigoes however are slightly more advanced than ghosts in their form. Basically they're based off of the howling winds and that idea transformed into those creatures. But Sunset Shimmer also fed off of negative emotions by creating rifts between friends so that she could get ahead. Thats what the sirens did in rainbow rocks. So feeding habits similar yes. The point of these creatures are to oppose harmony. Agents of discord i suppose. its the best analysis i could think of to compare them. I just wanted to contribute to the discussion. :derpe:
