So, I'm just playing around in TERA in the AM and decide to put this video on in the background: (For your sake, you really shouldn't listen to this video. lol) [video=youtube;wt7jm88-oRk]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wt7jm88-oRk[/video] For those of you unfamiliar with this guy, he's Dethonator (as he explains) and is a rather old metal musician in the fandom. Though he never really got popular and sort of vanished with Neighslayer (the brony metal band). Now I know the other half of why that is. Now, ignore his hypocritical opinions and views on the fandom and bronies in general, because he's entitled to have his opinions. Follow along with the way he talks about people in general; the way he speaks of his disposition, the way he perceives things, and then how he vainly attempts to defends his friends. Oh, and the end of the video is grand in itself. So, yeah. Arrogant. I linked this video to some others, and we all kind of agree he's a universal ******* in the way he talks down to everyone that he doesn't deem to be [his] "people." It's not exactly a wonder why he would feel out of place in the fandom, or why he might be viewed low in general. Towards the end of the video he gets really awkward in some of his explanations, and since he basically leans into the implication that none of the video is meant to be non-serious, it gets hard to watch. I'm not exactly sorry to see him go.
Humans have an innate tendency to try and feel good about themselves. Some go out and help others, others work hard and feel good about the rewards of their labour and others try to justify why they're better than others.
That was one of the most whiny, arrogant, hypocritical, self-centered rants that has ever polluted the Internet. This man needs to be slapped, on principle.
He's TOTALLY okay with gays and transsexuals, and he's SO not a bad person for making fun of them, but blames them for ruining the image of 'socially normal' people like him (lolwut he's so awkward) in the fandom.
