Kanatoka was putting on her red sweater to go outside, she put on a blue and yellow hat and opend the door she troted outside "w-wow..."she said quietly "Its so beautiful..." she put one hoof first. She jerked back "Heehee...Its cold!" she said she walked in the snow she rolled around in it for a little in the snow then she got up and shook the snow out of her blue mane, she opened the door and troted in the kitchen where she saw her mother washing dishes, the purple ailcorn turned her head to see her daughter "Oh! Hi kanatoka!" she said kanatoka blushed "Hi mummy..." she said quietly she wasn't used to her new mum yet. *I hope big brother remembers we're going to the park today...* she thought, she went outside where there was a bench on the sidewalk she sat down and waited for her brother.
Connor went outside to get some fresh air he didn't forget the stove pipe hat he saw his sister on a bench he went right up next to her and said"Hey Kan how's my favorite sister doing?" asked Connor
Kanatoka blushed "I-im fine..." She said shyly, kanatoka got up and shook the snow off her mane, "You didn't forget we're going to the park today, right?" she asked.
"I have not forgot"he stood up shacking the snow from his hat and then putting it back on"Ready to go?"he asked.
"ok..." She said, kanatoka troted off in the direction of the park. She stopped and turned around "Come on! We don't wanna miss the petting zoo thats going on in the park!" She tried to say loudly.
Kanatoka walked in the row of animals, "....This isn't as much fun without mommy and daddy..." she said quietly. But one animal caught her attention, it was a black cat in a cage with a 'For sale' sign on the lower right corner. Kanatoka's eyes grew she wanted that cat she ran back to connor "Do you have any bits? I wanna buy this kitty." She pointed at the black cat "Plleeaassee!" she begged.
"ok I'll buy her"he went up to the pony who was selling the cat" hey I would like to buy that cat"but before Connor could pay the dark robbed pony gave him the cat and he said "for you kid it's free" Connor didn't like the way he looked he asked"your not in a demonic cult right?" he said"no" Connor belived him and carried the cat to his sister.
"Yay! My very own kitty!" she said jumping up and down "Hiss..." The cats ears pinned back as she hissed at the pony in the black robe, the cats hiss made kanatoka scream she dropped the cat as soon as the cat hit the ground she ran under a park bench, looking at everyone who passed by the bench. Kanatoka hid behind connor looking at the cats glowing green eyes.
"I-im fine...That was just really scary..." She said quietly, kanatoka looked up in the sky "Its getting late lets go back home..." she said quietly.
"i'll lead the way incase you get scared again by HISSes"Connor grew a smile and chuckled and headed in the direaction of home.
Kanatoka followed connor back home "I'll open the door" she said quietly and she pushed the door open "Mommy! Daddy! We're home!" She said the purple alicorn troted down stairs "hi kids..." She said sadly, "Whats wrong mommy?" She asked "You know your father works at a mine, right?" She asked "Yup." She said "Well...Hes taking a ship to canterlot. The mining company he works for found this new kind of gemstone, its found at canterlot. He'll be away for a few weeks...Even years...Who knows..." she said with her voice cracking and her eyes filling up with tears. Kanatoka sat down next to her and hugged her.
Kanatoka looked down and troted upstairs in her room and went to sleep she hugged the cat in her sleep tying to rest with the snow storm going on outside. "Connor! CONNOR!" she whisperd "Wheres misses fluffles?" she asked
Kanatoka sighed and jumped off her bed and went to look for her cat, "Misses fluffles! Where are you?" She said "Are you...-In here?!" she opened the basement door and squinted tying to see what was in the dark basement staircase. She leaned forward tying to see what was inside she leaned a little too forward and fell down the staircase the door shut behind her, it was so dark she couldn't see her own hooves she shiverd, it was cold down there "CONNOR! MOMMY! Help....!" she screamed. She tried to see what was inside the basement, she felt nothing there was a big room with white pillars in a circle she jerked back as she felt the heat from someone breathing right next to her she screamed.
