(It's finally here everyone!) Lica was having a really slow day. No one would come to her store to buy anything. A few would just look around at the souvenirs but that was as far as I went. "Ugh...and to think people wanted to remember this place..."
Shuai Ran walked into the small shop. It was most likely a souvenir shop judging from the various trinkiets that was placed around the room. He picked up one of the trinkets and looked at it for a second and than putting it in his pocket when he was sure that nobody was watching.
She honestly didn't care for the "customer" but she had a job to do. she walked up to him with a smile. "Hello sir, welcome to Republic city's souvenir shop! Is there anything here you want to remind you of your splendid time here in this wonderful city?"
Cordelia didn't really do much in the waterbending dojo. Mostly she was live target practice or conducted petty tasks while the main instructor was out. "Life of an assistant." She always said. It wasn't that bad though. She learned from the students and they learned from her. Win-win. The pay wasn't all that bad either.
Hanzo sprinted away from the police, occasionally hurling pebbles backwards. "Stop! Tresspasser!"one shouted, pursuing the delivery boy. "Sorry!" Hanzo yelled backwards, clenching onto his bag so tight, his knuckles turning white as snow. "Gotta get there in thirty minutes or it's free!"
Shuai Ran looked at the woman in front of him and smiled. This could be a perfect opportunity to earn some money. He looked around to make sure that nobody saw them before he replied. "If you would like this store to not burn to the ground, I'd suggest you give me your money."
her smile quickly faded. "I'm sorry did you just threaten me? Ha Ha! your quite a joker...do that again and I will personally kick your ass...now are you here to buy anything or are you here to piss me off?"
"You don't get it...this is the only job I have and it was hard for me to get it. I'm not gonna just let you take the cash I got or else I'm fired. so...NO!"
"I honestly couldn't care less if you're fired or not, just give me the money and this place won't catch fire."
Cordelia sparred with the older students on her skill level for the last hour of the session. Those kids were pretty good, considering they were about 5 or 6 years younger than her. She checked out of the dojo, and took the scenic route home, passing through the market district and buying up a fresh apple. As she casually bit into the crunchy fruit, she heard what sounded like some sort of dispute. She approached the source, and eavesdropped on the conversation. "Just give me the money and I will leave you alone." "You don't get it...this is the only job I have and it was hard for me to get it. I'm not gonna just let you take the cash I got or else I'm fired. so...NO!" "I honestly couldn't care less if you're fired or not, just give me the money and this place won't catch fire." It seemed as if the criminal was a firebender. It was unclear if the employee was a bender or not. "If he's a firebender I could have a chance... But what if he's one of those lightning benders?" Cordelia muttered to herself. "And the police seemed pretty occupied with that trespasser carrying a parcel earlier..." She peered into the store, and noticed a window in the back. Perhaps she could ward off the robber from there. She he snuck around back and looked at a puddle of water collecting by a clogged drain grate. She levitated some of it up, and formed it into three icy spears, each about the size as someone's forearm. She launched them through the window at Shuai Ran, one of them skimming his cheek, another grazing the he upper arm, and another hitting him in the shoulder, shattering on impact. She jumped through the partially shattered window, adrenaline pumping. She was scared, but ready to fight. She pulled some water out of a medium sized pouch on her waist. "I really don't want to fight, but I will to defend someone!"
While Shuai was distracted Lica slammed her foot on the ground sending a rock pillar smashing into shuai ran stomach 20th such force he hit the ceiling. She then looked at the water bender. "Your paying for that window."
Hanzo turned the corner with incredible speed, and slid into the shop. "I got a delivery here for... Uh, is this the wrong time or wrong place?" he asked, staring blankly at the stone pillar. "...I'm gonna have to fight someone, ain't I?"
"I'll make it my business if you don't back off!" She yelled, pulling more water out of the satchel. A new face came in. "OK. That's great. Why don't we just get the president in here as well?" Cordelia thought to herself.
She takes the package. "Wrong time...but if you want you can't help me get this robber out of my damn store!"
"You said that if i didn't give you my money you would burn down the shop! Are you seriously trying to fool me?!"
