Going on a cruise. Won't have access to affordable wi-fi while gone, so I'll talk to everypony in a few weeks.
Thanks, guys. Sorry for the brevity of the message, but I was rushed for time at that point. My family and I sailed on the 17th cruise of the Disney Fantasy, the newest, largest, and most impressive Disney cruise ship to date. Everything about it was awesome, and this is coming from a person who typically isn't big into Disney. Some of my favorite aspects of the ship: - The Animator's Palate. This is one of the three main adult restaurants on-board the ship, with pacific rim-inspired cuisine. The restaurant's walls are dominated by large video screens which, most nights, display gorgeous artwork and concept drawings from various Disney IPs. Our last visit to this restaurant was utterly delightful. Before you begin your meal, you are given markers and must draw in a cartoon on a specific piece of paper. After this, before the main event, the video screens featured wonderful montages from various Disney films set to classic songs, such as "Be Our Guest." Once a few of these had shown and the bulk of the dinner had been served, the main event started. Apparently they take your drawings and animate them, letting them dance and twirl amidst various Disney-inspired scenes and locales. Watching my tuxedo-clad pony dancing around with the genie from Aladdin was quite an experience! - Unlimited food. The food is all included in the cost of the cruise. There are major buffets for breakfast and lunch in various restaurants. Dinnertime, of course, can be had in any one of the three featured restaurants. If these don't strike your fancy, however, you can almost always head over to various quick-service stands to dine on less sophisticated fair such as hotdogs, pizzas, chicken tenders, sandwiches, etc. - Interesting events almost everyday. Some of the best were these little hour-long classes that taught you various animation principles, or how to draw certain Disney characters. - A wonderful spa. Great massages, manicures, pedicures, anything you could ever want in that regard. - Movies. In large theaters. In 3D. Very good 3D. I was finally able to see Tangled on the big screen in 3D, and it looked awesome. - Every night there were various plays, musicals, etc. The aduly-only nightclubs featured some very amusing comedians and cute activities (such as something called a "risque scavenger hunt." They even had a professional hypnotist on board who did some shows. - Nice rooms. Since we booked this cruise earlier than most people, we got bumped up to a nicer cabin than we would have otherwise gotten. The best aspect of it was the large porch which let you gaze out over the water, providing for some breathtaking scenery during sunset.
