Picked up some merch for me today specifically the blindbags I use to make the keychains I sell which she went out f her way to get, nice to see her so supportive of my weird new hobby.
Gah, my mother wouldn't of understood my like for this show lol. To be honest, I don't think any of my family would have >.< Anyhows, hooves up to your family for doing that for you
My parents are bemused. Seriously, I can't think of a more fitting word. They don't mind that it's ponies, they don't mind that it's a show for little girls and they don't mind me hanging out with most of the awesome people I've met through the fandom. They do mind how much time I spend online in the community though, which I get. It's a hard year of studying, and it'd be best to keep my time spent with ponies in check until things are a bit less manic. As for buying merch... Well, I don't think they'd like it. At all, in fact. To be honest, I've actually got reservations about spending money on any more than apparel myself... Still, it's awesome that your parents are so cool with it! Very lucky indeed, they sound like great people
My parents (mother) is very supportive of me being a brony. My dad doesn't care, which I'm perfectly fine with. Of course at first she asked why I'd like MLP. Then I went into describing how I'm not the only one, and the huge community. I told her about the team behind FiM, including Lauren Faust. Then she remembered how I loved the Powerpuff Girls as a kid, so she understood. And she realizes that todays cartoons are pretty bad. She buys me and my sis ponies as well and has even watched a few eps herself. So I'm also quite lucky to have supportive parents.
My mom's the only one who knows right now, and she's kinda supportive. She's a tad bemused by it, but has accepted it and doesn't say anything when I talk about ponies or buy pony merchandise.
I'm in the same boat. Dad: "That's very cute jake." Mom: "this sounds like just the best thing ever. So all those friends of yours online are bronies?" Bro: my brother is sorta a brony... He doesn't have time to watch the show or be a community poster. Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Tapatalk
Lol actually that is the same situation I'm in. My parents are fine with it just so long as it is suitable. XD
My aunt Says she supports me in everything i do but when it comes down to buying something that she "supports" She doesnt get it or even considers it So ya but i have friends who support me and thats all that i care about Im glad everyone parents support them !
You guys are so lucky to have the families that approve this in their lives. Sometimes that i wish to be the only child and it was only me and my mother. she is the only person that i wish to tell that I watch My Litter pony: Friendship is Magic and I would have my Reason for it too. Don't tell me that i'm am ashamed of being a brony because that is lie. My mother saw my drawings of Ponies and she told me that they were cute. At that point, all i can think is that she might asked where i got the idea from and that i was gonna come out straight to her but since that did not happen, i'm gonna wait till that opportunity comes around again or wait for the right time in life to tell them.
Lol, my little pony is for little kids according to my parents. Never say anything when I watch spongebob.
I consider Spongebob (or almost anything Nickelodeon nowadays) painful to watch, yet, no one stereotypes for that show.
