Hope you guys don't mind me putting this here - if it's the wrong forum feel free to move it.

Just wanted to say that the UK Brony convention is underway and tickets are now on sale!

The convention will be held at The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, England on the 18th & 19th August 2012. Lots of stuff going on and a big party on the Saturday night! See http://bronyuk.org for details.

We'd also like to see EPR there so... get in touch!

Ticket prices are currently at a discount - but this offer ends on Sunday! Grab your Early Pegasus ticket before they're gone!

    Wow, did this get overlooked.
I'll move it to meetup discussion and while I don't think I'll be buying a ticket this far in advance, it's local so I do hope to be there!

Thanks for the heads up

    ^ Yeah, I noticed that....
Anyway, I'll probably not be going to this I'm afraid. I'll probably be tired from the Thorpe Park meetup. Broke too.

I'll move it for you instead Grey.

As for this meet-up....it's closer than Nottingham, but I'm going to be a bit broke during the Summer months for all the different hobbies etc that I want to pursue in that time. It's not looking to be likely for me to be going I'm afraid.

Looks like it's going to be much too expensive for me. I'd really like to know, where is all this money going? No other meetup I've been to has charged for entry (yes, I'm aware that BUCK isn't a 'meetup' per se, but still), and even MCM, one of the UK's biggest conventions, only goes up to £30 for the most expensive tickets. I'm sure there's a very good reason, I'd just like to know my cash is being well spent. For that amount of money I'd expect something really special, I hope you guys can deliver.

I'd love to go but transport and getting permission would be the main problem. The cost is pretty high as well, although that isn't too big an issue since I don't spend much of my money. Maybe next year...

If I have money left over from both Thorpe Park, and my new monitor...
It's unlikely though... Perhaps an early Christmas present? ... :3

Right. I got transport and the ticket sorted. Now all I gotta do is find a place to sleep for two nights.
