^Had to be on a computer to post that. Also multiple egos: In the 4chan vs FB war, I choose 4chan. What I'm talking about
Intrude thought. "Well... My father, I suppose. He's probably safest with him, sadly. " March looked up. "No.. Intrude.. Daddy's mean." Intrude frowned. "I know, March. But he's safest for you." she replied unhappily. "Everypony knows I don't let March go to Dad. If he's looked for, it won't be with him." She walked over to March, and murmured something to him. He nodded, and stretched his wings. "Thank you for the soup, Mr. Quickstar." said March.
As Discord was heading to the kitchen for a midnight snack, he noticed Frozen's door was ajar, and he could smell smoke; he knew he wasn't meant to enter other resident's rooms without permission, but he thought Frozen might be in trouble! At least, that's what he'd say if anyone asked; in reality he was mostly just curious. Sidling through the door, Discord noticed two things; Frozen was asleep at his desk, and one of the cushions on his fireplace chairs was decidedly more ablaze than it was meant to be, a spark or ember must have jumped out of the fire. Summoning a seltzer bottle, Discord put out the fire. "Toasty," He grinned, admiring his handiwork and moving the chair away from the fire. Frozen was still asleep, and Discord was about to leave, when he noticed a curious looking book on the desk. Bound in black leather and clearly ancient, the book made Discord feel slightly uneasy, but it was open and he decided to take a look. Reading one of the passages aloud, the door suddenly slammed shut, and the room was filled with a terrible cacophony and whirling of wind...
Frozen awoke with a start, noticing Discord hovering over the book. Frozen cursed his own laziness, how could he have been so careless as to let that book remain in plain view?! He grabbed onto discord, so that he would be sucked in with him. Avatar of chaos or not, he would need Frozen's help to survive in the world they had been forced to enter. A stronge gale blew them towards the book. Frozen did not resist, he knew to do so was futile. Quick as a flash, they were sucked between the pages and the book slammed shut behind them!
"Well that was a new experience," Discord said, blinking and looking at his surroundings, "And not one that I'd care to repeat." He turned to see Frozen. "Oh! I thought felt someone grabbing me. Um, any idea where we are?"
"You...you actually read it..and without all yhe mental preparations to protect us.. This is bad, very very bad.." Frozen sat back upon the ashen ground. A sulfuric lake popped and sizzled nearby. Distant thunder rumbled in the distance and the sky was ebon with soot.
"Oh, it's not that bad," Discord said, looking at the charming scenery. "I mean, there's... um, some nice flowers!" He walked over to a twisted and gnarled patch of vegetation with a single flower growing at it's centre; as he reached for the flower, a spiked branch came crashing down, narrowly missing his paw, and another plant released a cloud of toxic looking gas. He scowled and tried to turn the thicket into a nice shrubbery, but it seemed resistant to his magic. "Hmm, I take that back." Discord said, walking back over to Frozen and summoned an armchair to sit on; he could still do that here at least. "What exactly was that book?"
"It's called the book of doors," he said, "It was one of the many books I stole from the castle of the two sisters. Desperation led me to experiment with darker magics, which is why you and I are here now. What worries me, though, is that we are hefe fully and exposed. Stick close to me, very nasty beings dwell within this realm."
Discord shrugged, "In my experience, there are nasty beings in every realm." He studied Frozen carefully, "Any particular reason you kept this book?"
"A means of feeding," Frozen said, "This is a realm of torment, so by partially summoning myself here I used it to feed and sate my desire to do so. Partial summoning kept me between the two realms, and safe from the denizens of this realm. However, we're fully summoned to this world, so the danger is greater because they can physically touch us."
"Interesting," Discord said, stroking his goatee, "So can you only feed off negative emotions? I must confess to being somewhat ignorant when it comes to Windigos."
"Sadly, yes," he said, "I can feel love, but have never had it reciprocated. Pain is something we feed upon due to our disharmonic nature."
"I'm sorry to hear that," Discord said, solemnly; he could sympathise when it came to emotional issues. "And we'll have to discuss it further at some point, but for now I think it would be wise to work on getting out of here, much as I hate being wise."
"That's the complicated part i'm afraid, "he said, "It's not as simple as merely reading the incantation again. We could leave our world, but that was only because there was no force anchoring us here. Now though, we're in a place designed to trap evil spirits; a prison."
Discord burst out laughing. "A prison?! For evil spirits?! Oh, that seems horribly fitting; there are plenty in Equestria who'd say we belong here, you and I." He sighed. "So how do we break out of this prison? I assume getting Fluttershy to send a cake with a file in it is out of the question?"
Frozen smirked; the irony of the situation was not lost on him. "No," he said, chuckling, "It is not that simple. We will have to ascertain the source of the force anchoring us here and disable it long enough for us to escape, but not so long as to allow any of this world's denizens to flood out into equestria."
"Oh, is that all?" Discord said, dryly, raising an eyebrow. "Still, at least this prison has some hope of escape. What's our first move?"
