Today, Crashsite and I are going to wear our brony shirts. For the entire day. On a college campus. With students we've known for three days. Somehow, I have a feeling this will end well, but there's always that feeling something terrible is going to happen, y'know? Either way, today is certainly going to be interesting. I'll update the day's goings as it goes on. May Celestia help us both... UPDATE 1: Tard employees told us we specifically have to wear our camp shirts today. Don't ask why, they never explained it to us. Ehehe...I guess we'll wear our shirts tomorrow... UPDATE 2: Take two. ACTION! UPDATE 3: Breakfast. Never complete without a serving of nasty scrambled eggs and syrup-less pancakes. Nobody's really (outwardly) acknowledged the shirts yet. I've caught a few stares, but they look away quickly, as if they felt guilty for staring at a mentally disabled person. I have yet to get any actual approaches. UPDATER 4: Well, I'm eating lunch as I type this. Let me recap the last 10 minutes. *FLASHBACK* We had just walked out of our room to head to lunch. Our escort is picking up some medicines at a hospital, so we get to share escorts with the Computer Sciences division. As we're standing in the hall, a bunch of freshmen in CS decide to go to the bathroom. We had to stand out there, hungry, for at least 5 freaking minutes. During this 5 minutes, I caught a conversation from some CS kids. Plopping on my biggest poker face, I tuned in. Guy 1: *points at me and nudges friend* Guy 2: *looks at Guy 1, then at me* What? Guy 1: His shirt. Guy 2: ...I don't get it. Guy 1: He's a brony. Guy 2: ...A what? Guy 1: You don't know what a brony is, do you? Guy 2: *shrugs* Guy 1: Okay...you know how Spongebob has that sort of 'cult' following? Bronies are basically a 'cult' following, except with My Little Pony. Guy 2: *stares at me* What!? *some mumbling I could not discern occurs, a thrid guy appeared and they probably explained their conversation to him* Guy 3: Bronies freak me out. Guy 1: *obviously not listening* Why the heck would you like My Little Pony!? Guy 2: I don't know. Guy 3: *repeating, probably seeking attention* Bronies really freak me out. And then the stragglers arrived and we went to lunch. I haven't been directly approached yet. Hopefully, I'll have a direct approach by dinner. UPDATE 5: Dinner time; no approaches. I can say today has been pretty uneventful, if unsuccessful with the shirts. I will make one more update in a few hours. Who knows, maybe something could happen? UPDATE 6: CRITICAL SUCCESS So, I went into the Spahr Classroom in order to participate in some cheesy 'Engineering Olympics.' I was still wearing my brony shirt, but throughout the day, I got more and more used to it. By the end, I forgot I was wearing it...until some freshman appeared and complimented me on it. I thanked him and went on my normal business. A few minites later, I heard two girls behind me talking. Girl 1: And Pinkie Pie is basically the insane one... Me: *Turning rapidly* Say what? Girl 2: Oh! We saw your shirt! It's an awesome shirt! Go bronies! I smiled and turned back around. More of this went on, and I began conversing with the person who had been speaking with Crashsite the whole time. Turns out he was a big computer/gaming fan. We talked for a good hour about random *[BUY SOME APPLES]*. Afterwards...*DRUMROLL* FELLOW BRONIES; Crash and I may have just made a new brony. Oh yeah...and the freshman complimented my shirt again. I have a feeling he was a closet who was still trying to be a closet. All in all, it was totally worth it...for some reason, I feel more confident in myself... UPDATE 7: Dear Princess Celestia, Today, I learned that, even if you have nearly given up hope, good things can still occur and raise past your intentions! I thought the day was ruined, with only a renark that made me feel different to go by. Near the end of the day, I was proved so wrong! I even met a new friend, who I can still be with via Steam even after we part ways. I used to want this camp to be over already, seeing as it was nearly pointless, but now that I have a new friend, I don't want it to end so suddenly! Tommorow, I go back to my life at home; playing TF2 and reading Fallout: Equestria. My time here has been more of a blast than I had expected. I would like to thank everypony who got me here. Your faithful subject, Jhera. UPDATE 8: I feel like the worlds biggest jackass. I just got home from the camp, only to realize I left my prized pillow along with the brony shirt inside of it at the campus. Brony Shirt: New Times Used: 1 Take good care of it.
I do this on a regular basis at my Uni. But then, I don't hang out with many people, if any. Best of luck to you nonetheless
How I wish I had a brony shirt... Anyway, best of luck. The only thing I've done is print off a pony picture and stick it on the wall at my school. It got taken down within an hour.
Best of luck dude! I can't do anything like that because I have no shirts but anyway I hoe things go well!
Sounds like it is gonna be a blast, no good luck needed it will be brilliant You shouldn't hoe things thats not very nice
The day is not a loss if you meet a hundred haters and make one brony friend. I'm sure on your whole entire university campus, there is at least one brony. xP My brother has started a brony club at his university up north. I'm not sure the name of the club, but they have a better following than they expected. Best of luck to you both. I'll be sure to follow the updates. xP You shouldn't hoe a thing that's not very nice? You shouldn't hoe things at all, sir.
hope you'll meet lot of new bronies on the way don't fear, no one ill hurt you for wearing pony t-shirt.
If someone threatens you or anything (With the 1% possibility) Ask them, what is wrong and do Black Widow style interrogation!
I wish you all the luck in the world, my friend! For a time, I had ponies proudly displayed on my desktop at work. This picture, actually: On topic: I don't really want a Brony shirt, but I'd like to have a polo shirt with Gummie on it.
Just so y'all know, if you didn't read it, the brony shirt begins tommorow. Stay tuned, I'll be updating it once at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (My breakfast, lunch, and dinner, of course )
I think I want what Quill wants. I actually drew a pony on the whiteboard in an empty conference room in my church. But I erased it myself. Maybe I should have left it there, just because. The next person to go in there would be like, "WTF?!" Anyhow, that sounds like a pretty cool day, Jhera. Aside from those three guys you mentioned. >.> I really dislike those sorts of people with a passion. If you don't like something, keep it to yourself and ignore, right?
