Just as you foretold, at a little past noon, sometime between twenty-four and forty-eight hours after returning your Application for a temporary assistant, you hear a knock on the front door of your residence. Answering the door, you find a stark white unicorn who appears to be around your age. Her light green mane drops over her face, covering one of her bright, blue eyes. On her sides, you see a pair of white saddlebags adorned with the logo of I.S.B.E., Inc., a red heart with the letters "ISBE" stenciled over it. Glancing further back, you would see that her Cutie Mark is a crystal ball surrounded by glitter. The unicorn turns her head around and reaches into her saddle bag, withdrawing a small sheet of paper. She adjusts it in her mouth, seeming to examine it, as she looks over it at you. After a few moments, she drops the sheet of paper back into her saddle bag and chirps, "Good evening, Sir! I'm Crystal Belle, and I've been commanded to be your temporary student! On behalf of I.S.B.E., Inc, I welcome you for your patronage!" She grins broadly, adding, "I hope that we become good allies!"
"Oh! Hello! Come on in." said Brisk, her eyes crinkling into a smile. She opens the door further, revealing a very messy workspace. It smelt like oranges and vanilla, and it was crowded. "Sorry about the mess. If I had known you were coming..." she said, then burst out laughing. "Oh, who am I kidding? I knew you were coming." she said cheerfully, shaking her head. Her horn glowed and a few of the items shuffled dejectedly back into their spots. "Now, are you hungry? You must have had a long trip." she said sheepishly. (Image of Brisk, if you'd like)
Crystal smiles at you. "Oh, I don't mind messes." She trots inside and glances around. "It's like they say, 'A cluttered desk is the sign of a cluttered heart, and an empty desk is the sign of an empty heart!'" She giggles to herself, then replies to Brisk's question, "Oh, no sir. I'm not thirsty in the slightest." She grins and adds, "When do we get started?"
"Hmm... Well. I... I can't see. It's.. hard to explain. You see, my cutie mark is that I can see into the future. But... sometimes.." she hesitated. "It's.. kinda hard to explain. It's like, suddenly not being able to see out of another set of eyes. There's always a reason why it's blocked. I need to figure it out. Are you willing to come along?" she asked quietly.
Crystal chirped, "Of course I'll come along, sir!" Her expression became serious as she said, "Losing touch with one's heart is truly a dire situation." She nodded, then added, "I cannot predict the future, like you, but...maybe I could teach?"
Crystal tilted her head to the side and replied, "Well, sir, I could listen and observe your techniques and teach from you how to predict the future."
"Oh! Of course. I'd love to. It is... rather complex, but you seem eager" said Brisk smiling. "Would you like a quick lesson now, or would you like to get settled in? I have a spare room upstairs that I have set up for you." she said, thoughtfully.
The unicorn stared blankly for a few seconds and after a while, she replied, "I'll analyze your technique after I get settled in." She accentuated the term, "settled in" as if she were saying it for the first time. She smiled brightly as she added, "You're welcome for the room, I would like to go there and get 'settled in'."
"Alright. It's up the stairs, first door on the left." said Brisk cheerfully. "I have to pack for my trip that I'll be making soon. You head on up, unless you'd like me to show you?" she asked.
Still smiling, Crystal replied, "No welcomes, sir. I'll see myself to the room." She trots over to the stairway, and stops. Her head turns to the right, then left, slowly, as if examining every inch of the area around her. Then, without a word, she trots merrily up the stairs, allowing Brisk to prepare her things.
The room is quiet, and warm. It has buttery yellow walls, and polished wood. It had a bed in the middle, and a crystal ball on the side table, almost exactly matching Crystal's cutie mark. Lacy curtains covered the windows, and there was a painting of a pegasus staring starry eyed into the moon on the walls.
Crystal took all of this in, in much the same manner in which she examined the room downstairs. ------- [GMing] Brisk suddenly recieved a vison. It was only momentary, but in it, she saw Crystal Belle. The unicorn was standing in a darkened room as mechanical arms came at her from all sides, gripping her limbs and neck. Oddly, Crystal didn't seem like she minded too much. ------- Her task (whatever it might've been) complete, Crystal returned to where Brisk was located. She looked as if she hadn't done a thing since going upstairs. She still carried her saddlebags with her and smiled warmly as she spoke. "I'm back, sir. Are you ready to arrive?"
Crystal tilted her head in apparent confusion. Then, she straightened her neck and stared blankly for a few moments. After a while, she blinked and replied, "Everything is fine, sir." Then, she frowned. "Have I don't something wrong?"
"N...no. You're fine." stammered Brisk. Her horn stuttered in it's glow, and she shook her head. "Alright then. Would you be willing to set out now? We could teach as we go along." she said cautiously.
Crystal smiled warmly. "Thank you, sir. Please let me remind you to report any usual activty on the comment card that I have in my pack. What's mine is yours." Then she added, "I am willing to arrive whenever you wish. I am yours to do with as you please for the remainder of my tenure."
"Alright. Let's set out. I've got food... water.. books...." she went on muttering. "Check. If you have everything, we can go."
Crystal stared blankly into space for a few moments, then replied, "I have everything that I used. Nothing has been removed from my pouch. I am ready to arrive, sir."
"Alright then! Oh, you don't need to call me sir. Brisk is fine." she says cheerfully, though slightly alarmed by Crystal's monotone attitude. She goes out the door, and locks it carefully behind her, then touches her permanetly glowing (Though sometimes sputtering) horn against the door. It shuts with an ominous click, and Brisk walks down the mossy path. (I may or may not have forgotten to tell you, if Brisk sees a key element of the future, she can turn... kinda evil. You'll probably see what I mean.)
