    Welcome to the forums!

And nice bike you have there, I hope you don't fall into the long list of people who terrorize us northerners by riding them rather loudly down the same stretch of road.

    Every. Damn. Day.

    ....say what?....

Thanks Roe106, urm, to say fall into that list...my old bike did, but didn't terrorize the north, and where i am down south, its Be heard, be safe! also we have bike events almost every week day. what annoys us is the scooters....that terrorize the roads...the public roads, that start fights when they get knocked off.

anyways, if there are any artists up to challenges, hook me up, i have ideas, and i can't draw....well, they are between sketches and engineering drawing....

Agreed, scooter drivers, you can spot them by the fact there looking like there popping off to Afghanistan or Iraq for the day (Even though their probably going down to the shops or something!), thinking their some kind of rambo figure. Yet there to sheepish to overtake most cars and linger at the back :p

    I would prefer 'Mr'.
And the 'Hairy' is a reference to the only (somewhat camp) celebrity bikers I know.

i'm sad to say Harley Davidson's don't the same rep here as they do in the states, Mainly because, they are not for here, and that v engine thumb, when you get a good few of them going at once, sound alot like a ditch pump, but because of the pipes they put on them, the US harley seem more civil, other then taking your crash helmets off at 70+mph =/

Its more the UK riders i insult (althou saying that, once you get a load together for a good cause, the charity buckets become heavy quick) as they just buy parts off the self and put them on and say that their HD is a custom, it was like me putting a race can (which i did) on my sport bike i had and saying it was a track bike, which it was not,

its the British bikes vs the 'jap crap' aka my Yamaha,

I would like to own a HD, like a 800, bit tatty not all glorified like the garage queens we have here. and also a British bike like a Triumph Trident

    so to clarity

Ditch Pump = namly British HDs
Jap Crap = 60's to 70's, even 80's Japanese bikes
Plastic Rocket = My yamyam :)....i have no idea why i've called it my yamyam =/ my old one was called the Napalm Perpealed Rocket

and large amount of bikers in my area are 'look at how much money i can spend on my bike' be it Cruiser, custom, sports, track, unless its a garage breed chopper but they are rare down here :(

plus brand new price range, its HD, teh BMW, and then kawa and honda in a close third with what you can spend, because HD's as you'll prob know just have a vas amount of 'extras' that some people 'must' buy =/

sorry if i boxed you into a group you are most likely not a part of,

    @Stainless

Thank you for clarifying your words I am not offended thank you for the culture lesson as I would love to go to Europe for all of its awesome machinery I envy your cars. But yes HD's have a different breed of rider than they seem to Britain. However I do like bikes but I prefer 4 wheels. Do you have a car?

my car will blow your mind up, you will be 'what in the HAY is that!?' i can fit that into my truck and still have room for the family and the shopping....if you own a truck and family that is =/ mind you most of our classic cars could happily do that.

I drive a 1980s Renault 4 GTL in need of TLC and its almost a TLC to quote scootaloo, it prob needs a new chassis and i need to learn welding to save it,

behind my bike is my dads classic Saab 95 not 9-5, we got loads of US bits for it, so you should and if you are very lucky...i mean that car is 'rare' for england, its got to be more so for you, should be able to find one, it will have the round head lights, and other stuff to get past your laws, round head lights and such like, we just haven't fitted them yet, you'll prob have more luck finding a saab sonnet or the 96 (96 is a salon, 95 is an estate)

we seem to get US cars over here as well....its odd. since the roads can't take them sometimes, its funny when you get a Morris Minor 1000 darting thou the county side on a classic car run with enough space to allow cars to past and behind it is some Plymouth Fury (not sure why that car came to mind, only know of one, and its green of all colours) which takes up the lane, the verve and the hedgerows.
