Story is in my following blog post. http://www.thebronyblog.com/2012/01/brony-gets-beaten-up-for-buying-pony.html
Wow... just wow... If that happens to any of us, this is what I'd do. -Self Defense and kick their flank(s). -Take their wallet and get the certain amount to repay what they did to his/her merch. -Go back into store and buy another pony. I can't believe two people would actually go through all that trouble to do that. Should that person contact the officials/police and file a report or something? P.S: I see you're kinda back Setzer. Welcome back. :derpe:
Wow. Stories like this make me ashamed to be human. What business was it of theirs what the guy was buying? Truly despicable, I hope justice gets served. One thing though... 'The new Mafia of the internet'?
you kidding? people do stupid heartless things like this all the time you just dont hear it, like a few days ago i saw on the news that two college students beat and stab the tar out of a pizza guy delivering pizza sad thing to it is that it was right inside a store were everyone can plainly see the guy getting beat up and no one did jack
Not to mention what if the guy was just buying the toy for his niece or daughter or other child relative? Not that anyone deserves that treatment, but why do people find it necessary to beat someone over a simple toy? I hope they Walmart cameras caught the encounter and he's able to press charges!
...This disgusts me. I don't even know what to say. The heartlessness people have is so terrible, I don't understand why...
Unfortunately, people have been killed for less. I do not like living in Georgia because of its pathetic and shameful history, among the fact that some of it still lingers in several counties. I would not be surprised if this happened in any of the southern states.
I had a chat with friend recently about how, my utter disgust of sadist seems to be unusual. As if taking pleasure in the pain of others is a natural human emotion. I will just say I'm glad I'm not normal.
I don't like reading Sad articles. D: How can the hate come that far they'll beat people up? Who in the right mind would beat someone up because they like a show? Nopony. As these people aren't in their right minds. Should be locked up. I hope this didn't discourage him from the show though. D: Better Buy the merch from the interwebz.
This is why I choose to be single. I turned 27 today, around the age where things start "getting serious" in my opinion. I find nothing about the concepts you mentioned being "main steam concepts of manliness" manly or attractive. Its just a simple-minded and feeble way of compensating for a lack of humanity, integrity, and dignity. I am NOT speaking badly about the male gender, becuase many of my closest friends are good, decent, loving men, but the saying "it takes an excellent man to beat no man at all" does have some merit, especially if the concepts in the above quote are true.
Oh, the human population. I don't mind offensive words, because they cause no harm at all. But actual violence to another member of your population is disgusting. Sadly, we can do nothing about these people. We can, of course, petition for laws to be made, but the chances of them working on these people is nought. If only karma were proven to exist. Then those fools would get what they deserve.
Bullies... They think too much and feel too little. When I read the article, i thought to myself "Why? Why would you do that? Have you no Shame? Don't you stop and think of the outcome of all this before you provide the actions of hurting this 20 year old kid? Absolutely not. The heartless souls of human beings in just sad and makes you wonder how this is to become of people to resort to violence. I wish i was there to help out this kid at the walmart. I will show no mercy to those Ill minded punks and Help lift up that hurt kid off the ground and on his feet and tell him that he is safe now and that i got his back if they come around again and possibly friend with him as well. I don't enjoy to see the good of people get picked on or bullied for that matter and suffer pain. I don't understand bullies...I just don't understand on what makes them tick.
I've heard of Sikhs shot in Circle K's for wearing turbans, and of random gangs of men who walk around bars to prey on anyone to come out at the wrong time. It sort of reminds me of Fahrenheit 451, with the kids in cars spending evenings targeting pedestrians to run over simply out of a straining desire to use pointless violence to cover their own failure and emptiness. Sometimes, people just like to hurt one another, the sad thing is how the masses never care. Instances trace back farther than one might think, but it seems to be a problem that has stuck to humanity like glue.
I'm so glad that people have nothing better to so in this world. OH no, he's buying a pony. So lets go assault him. You think maybe they could be home watching TV, reading a book, playing an instrument, anything constructive. I just don't understand why anyone has the desire to hurt another over something like MLP. Was he hurting anyone buying it? no. What do they do, go back to their friends and tell them they ganged up on another person. Wow, so cool and tough. It just makes me sick to think of the heartless people in the world.
As disgusted as I am by the actions of the bullies, I'm equally bothered by the response-the mafia of the internet bit. Not only is it ineffective, it's inviting for people who are of the bullies mentality. As a broad bit of advice, the standards apply. In all situations, never present yourself as weak in anything. Walk and stand confidently, with as much power and pride as you can, and do show it in anything you like or do, especially MLP. Never be ashamed. To project that sort of image, even with a pony toy in your hand, will deter many attacks. If you get into a violent situation? Self defense is always encouraged, but not everyone is trained in it, and you can't expect them to fully be so when trouble comes. Therefore, do everything in your power to tip the scales in your advantage. Elbow them in the face, fight dirty, but do also try to escape and get help. Use anything around you as a deterrent(some of those toys are sufficiently hefty), call for authority(Not help), or even better, start yelling out fire(That always gets a response). As for the haters, they're on their path. No need to call them out and issue a warning, they're own nature will provide an answer, or they'll learn, grow up, and hopefully become better people. Final Note: I'm not really one to harp on how bronies should behave(I just have aspirations of what we could be based on what I've seen), but I would like to say this: It is a better world when we sharpen our knives but wish the best of those who would go against us. Even though I am not discounting a need for violence, I think wishing ill on the bullies turns a group about love and tolerance potentially into hypocrites.
This is just shocking. Makes me wonder if I should ever go buy a pony now . The cruel things people do and what did this guy do to deserve it just buying something for his love and not bother anyone. Sometimes this world makes me sick. I found out recently some guy got picked on for liking trains so much that he committed suicide because of them. My hugs goes out them everyone that has be treated like this and hope my love can help you feel better after all that pain. I feel it to I got punched before it hurts I know its not fun.
Wow. Thats just simply disgraceful. I'm glad I live in a very friendly and welcoming country (for the most part), and do not generally need to be afraid of the general public at all. I fully feel sorry for this person. It would have shaken him off buying any more merch at all now, most likely.
You could always order them online. Amazon has tons of pony toys. And for that guy who committed suicide, that is very unfortunate. It's sad that people can be so curel, but no matter what is done, they will always exist. It's life.
Wow. ladies and gentlemen they will be leading our country some time in the future. If so then I would not like to be here. That is just sad. Why pick on the guy buying ponies? This kinda stuff make me absolutely sick. I hope they press charges.
