that would involve telling my dad I'm a brOny. I'm thinning about "acidentally" texting him a link to let's go and meet the bronies to tell.him. thdn I'll ask my mom bout bronycon
The last one was only like two months ago... There's a good chance they may change the date, venue, etc., between now and then, I'd prolly wait until at least February-March before even thinking about it. That's usually when the early bird tickets start going up for sale and they'll have the updated info.
Wait to see if things get finalized and then either be blunt about it or don't expect a response. You can't beat around the bush. If you try to drop hints here and there you'll more than likely miss the whole thing. If you're paying out of your own pocket to get there you could always lie and say you're going to the beach or something. I think the direct approach would be the most ... well ... you'll get a response anyway. I'd really like to go ... it's just the matter of 548 miles between me and the convention location. I plan on getting a job this summer, cause I'm a full time university student, so that I can have a little extra cash in my pocket. If I can save up enough to afford the trip and merchandise, I'm not going all the way to Bronycon to not buy anything, along with the ticket then I might go. I'd have to borrow a car though unless any bronies near Indiana want to carpool >.< lol. If the desire is strong enough anything is possible.
Well here is the trick, keeping it secret will make their discovery a suspicious one. Why did he keep it secret? What devious evils are involved that secrecy became the only viable option? How bad must this be that the guilt was so horrible as to cause secrecy in its wake? You know, the usual.
Wish I could go... Don't have money for the fee, don't have a clue where its at, and if its in a different state, then I won't go.
Bad attitude man lol. But in case you were wondering, it's in Baltimore, MD if it's being held at the same place it was last year. And the fee is like $50.
I've got my ticket bought, my hotel reserved, and my plane tickets booked. I'm ready and can't wait to go! Unless I get called to the academy, then I'm screwed.
Wish I could go, but a trip to Baltimore would be too damn expensive for a broke West coaster such as myself. I will see if I can go to BABSCon in April, though. Seems like it's going to be the West coast's answer to BronyCon, so I'll try to attend for at least the first day and see if it really compares.
BronyCon was amazing in 2012 and 2013. Definitely going again this year and wouldn't miss it for anything. Already got me a hotel room and my pass. Looking forward to meeting lots of new people, maybe playing a few games, having a drink or two with those able... it's just such a heartwarming experience for me every time.
