So day 1 of bronycon has come to a close, and I gotta know what you all thought about it. Wether you're there or watching the streams, was there something you liked? disliked? Personaly I loved every panel I saw on the streams, nothing really to dislike from what I saw, but that's just me.
Not worth waching to me. I'd enjoy it if I could met Slugbox, Swaetshrit, Jackle or Tomb. 2 of those people aren't there and I'm not there. So yeah, I have no interest in it. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
I don't know... Surprisingly I've found I don't actually care. I really couldn't care less about meeting Lauren Faust or Tara Strong etc etc - let alone watching them on a laggy(?) stream. The show's cool and the community is even cooler but the hierarchy and fan-boyish drop-dead celebrity attitude never really sat well with me.
On the one hand, I actually do kinda want to thank Faust, Tara, and everybody else who works on the show in person. What would be really nice would be to talk with them in a casual setting, just to understand more about them and get to know them as people. I'd be interested in knowing, for example, what music Ashleigh Ball likes. And on the other hand, some people take it too far. I think it would be really cool to go to a convention where everybody was relaxed and chill, and we all talked, met the creators, and got pizza together. Not that I think any of that is going to happen. I think there are too many people stuck in a fanboy/fangirl mindset for everybody to enjoy something so relaxed without someone freaking out.
Day 2: Only excitement so far was a small electrical fire. I've been popping in the stream every so often, it really isn't all that interesting.
BroNYcon from what I've heard so far: > Hotel setting alight with 5 fire engines coming to put out the small fire as the hotel was evacuated > Mic's microphone not working > Smitty G having trouble with taxis and losing all his clothes and suitcase and stuff to one > An artist (can't remember who) losing their stuff at the airport including their equipment for their stall > A stage light catching fire and making the building evacuate She just doesn't know what went wrong! Apart from that, I've heard little about the actual event. I haven't been watching the streams :derpe:
Don't bother. About half of the whole event was spent staring at a blank screen because their connection was so bad. I'm gonna wait until they post the panels up in separate videos. I mainly wanted to see the panel with Faust, the VA's and John DeLancie.
Yeah, I really feel bad for SmittyG. The mod for "Ask the Crusaders" pretty much got the VIP treatment. A friend of his donated $10k and he got to have dinner with all of the VAs and Lauren.
Never really cared about the Bronycon. I would go to just meet Faust and such. But all the extreme brony fanboys would be pretty annoying tbh. I'll just watch the interviews later when they'er up on Youtube
