    Bought my first MLP product

Mhm, I did it. I finally did it, ordered a Rainbow Dash on the front of a black long-sleeve t-shirt for me to wear. :omg:

I feel kind of embarrassed though, but I suppose we all do at first. I am however, kind of concerned for my safety...
This is Florida, and not the vacation location. The ghetto, or at least around it; you can get jumped and picked on for wearing such a shirt as the one I ordered.
If an angry hick can bash sedan's window with Princess Celestia and Luna decals on it, what can an angry hick/thug/bully do to a helpless young lad like myself?

Although I bought it to symbolise I am brony, and want to wear it almost everyday to be proud, I am starting to ponder.
Not only my safety, but all the discrimination I'm going to get from people who despise bronies. I've been through some tough times lately, and sometimes I can get pretty sensitive. I really don't know what to say or do now that this has came across my mind.

Okay Trix, man up... there are ways. :DFH:

I think I'll be okay actually, maybe nobody will notice it. Or if they do, they won't have no clue what it is, or maybe they'll be a fellow fan such as myself!
I don't have to wear it everyday, but on days I can handle being attacked (I hope it's verbally). I can wear it to bronycon and other nearby conventions, wear it on Halloween with a mask, all that good stuff. Sounds good, I suppose. And since it's almost winter, I can cover it up with a hoodie if need-be.

Enough with the paranoia actually. I think I'll be good, but the question is... what do you think?

Found it to be cool, after all, nothing's cooler than Rainbow Dash. :omg:
Got it on Redbubble, not official merch from Hasbro of course but fan-made and uploaded.

It hasn't arrived yet, but it will in time. So I'm done with this post I think, let me know if you think I picked a cool design or not.
And also, please let me know how to muster up the courage to wear this in public. I'm almost as shy as Fluttershy.
I don't do forums much so I do not know how to end this properly. I probably overdid it to begin with. :DFH:

    Thanks for reading, bye?

Idk how it is where you live, but I mean right now I'm on this website in a classroom and the person sitting next to me says "So you like ponies?" and I'm like "Yeah" and he's like "You're a Brony?" and I'm like "Yeah". And then he was just like, "Okay" and we started talking about something else. Obviously that's an example of a less hostile person, but imho things usually go well if you're cool about it and don't panic or get defensive. People will respect you more that way!

Well, that arrived quicker than I thought.
Three days foalks, three days. It's here, and I don't know what to do with it.

Thank you, I think I'll do alright if I stay positive and not panic lol.

congratulations for your first bit of pony merch.

I personally only wear my T-shirts in the house I don't dare wear it in my area I live in a rather hostile area where if you have a different colour of hair you can be assaulted so I don't show mine off.

I'm also rather shy in real life so doesn't help.

Personally its up to you If you feel ok then why not try wearing it under something they you can always cover it up if you feel some hostility.

Hope this helped you a little :D

Sounds good, I might just wear it in the house as well.

I live in Texas, probably the most hostile towards anything different. I have encountered a few dips who start insulting me for wearing "a girl's tshirt.", but my advice is this. These people don't know you, they are just ignorant. I've gotten threatening notes placed on my car for having a Doctor Hooves, Derpy, and Trixie bumper sticker on my window, but I've also gotten little notes with a smiley face on them. People are weird creatures, but you shouldn't ever listen to what they say.

The most important thing is to remind other people that you are a human being as well, not some different thing who should be punished for liking something.

I will also say, if you like to talk to the little ones, they will often ask you if you watch My Little Pony too. I've spent many a conversation on the buses talking to kids, often with the parents mouthing a "thank you" for keeping them occupied.

But again, it is completely up to you.

I find it weird that people leave notes on your car at all o.0 Threatening or not.

Where I live normal people would just give strange looks and maybe whisper to each other a bit before forgetting about it. :p
