Iv'e only been a member of the brony community for about 3 months but I'm already willing to commit a lot of time and effort towards this community and help it grow and get better. My first idea was too see if there was any conventions in the nearby states of my home state (Florida). And as far as I can see there isn't any. Seeing this I know a perfect place where we can hold such a convention. (For my lack of memory of the name of the place) At the same place they hold Megacon in Florida. Iv'e been going to Megacon for the past few years and as far as i can see it was made specifically to hold conventions. My problem now is how the hell am i going to get the funds and money to pay for such place. Also considering the fact that in order to make it even mildly entertaining we would need to spend a lot extra cash on entertainment systems. (unless that comes with the renting fee.) I know I may only be 17 but I'm sure i could find someone else who would be better at arranging such things. Also I will also need help with the funds and money. Anyone who is willing to help with the arrangements, music, entertainment, and other what-nots is completely welcomed and their help will be highly appreciated. Also i know iv'e stated this at least 3 times before but I cannot stress on how much help we need with the finances. I shall be looking to see if i can get EQD or even EFF to help sponsor the convention. ANY HELP AT ALL IS GOOD AND HIGHLY APPRECIATED!!!
in Illinois, you have to be 18+ and have licenses and stuff to hold a convention. i dunno in Florida though.
I'd imagine this would be more than a meetup but okay. xD - - Auto Merge - - I have friends in their 20's who will be willing to get the license if i can't. But i'm pretty sure it's possible for me to get.
Yep, I'm from Florida. There quite a few of us on here from Florida. As far as a con up near Orlando, Look for the Central Florida Bronies (something like this, just search for it) group on Facebook. DRD who used to be on here is in it. I know they have quite a few meetups and can probably help you out if you are really serious about started a convention. I'd go to some, but they are all usually like 300+ miles away from me.

Why not! Are they those kind of parents who wants their child to grow up and be exactly who they want them to be.
How old are you? If you have any friends you could crash out at their place for a while so they can learn that your going to be who you want to be not what THEY want you to be. If you don't have any friends to do that then you could come to my place for a few weeks if/when **** hits the fan.
