This needs to happen. To be honest, now that I look at him, I think he's a well made character. His voice fits him, and his colour scheme is nice. I have no qualms about him. But, why in the nine hells couldn't Derpy have just delivered it...? Oh, and I think it was just a cake inside of Pinkie's care package. Either that, or an AC130.
If by cake you mean a small explosive that launched confetti everywhere, then yes. But yeah, there was probably some baked goods and a photo of them or something.
Probably just a UAV. I actually hate this character. When they mentioned a "mailpony" I expected Derpy. :-/
I was a little disappointed with the lack of Derpy, but given the "controversy" following The Last Roundup, it's understandable.
You guys do realise by the way, that Derpy shall not appear in Season 4 at all? As outlined by an employee of DHX Studios (the animators), Hasbro (the company) have decided as a result of the major controversy over Derpy, such as the death threats and violence towards Apple and Hasbro, that Derpy will be phased out during Season 3, she won't appear as much, because they are gradually removing her. This saddens the animators, but obviously Hasbro just want the money and they can't have the bad publicity, which means no Derpy merchandise will be allowed to be produced from their company either. In Season 4, Derpy shall be gone, and it's all the fault of the reactions to the voice/name removal back at the start of the year. So don't be surprised.
that news first appeared on Reddit, and it was proven to be fake (aka, not real Hasbro or HUB employee ). It wouldn't make sense for Hasbro to make Derpy toys, and put her in official mlp comic if they planed to get rid of her. If you watch carefully, she still appears in the intro. Also, Hasbro Italy, made new dub of italian version of Last Round Up, where they called Derpy "Derpy". ok, I think this should be topic about that mail pony: well he seems ok, I wonder if we'll see more of him. Also, now we know how Equestria post logo looks like.
I still question the likelihood of her sticking around unfortunately. But yeah Care Package (or Fred Express) is best background pony, so hawt.
I just think season three was developed by the time of Derpygate and they wanted to be careful back then. Derpy may or may not return with time, myself I would have Derpy read quantum physics in the backgrond next time, just because she's clumsy doesn't mean she's stupid and that wouldbe a way out of the controversy. (Also, don't trust that rumour) Yeah, dat mailpony. If I was either gay or a mare I would so ask him out.
Yeah after all there's no way Hasbro would take out one of the most popular background ponies out of the show permanently.
