I had made this RP originally to pay tribute to the comics that shaped my life. Unfortunately the members who were participating quickly lost interest and quit posting. However the sheer number of people who signed up told me the RP had potential. I will again be playing as Excelsior/Stan Neigh. http://www.everypony.com/forums/showthread.php?11105-VergilSparda-s-OCs-(current-number-1) As my rule for Stan is that his powers and inventions depend on the RP. In this one I will give him. 1. Spider man's web shooters, strength, and ability to fall from skyscrapers unharmed 2. Daredevil's reflexes (No, Stan isn't blind) 3. A nerfed version of Wolverines healing factor (He can't take bullets to the head and such) And yet again the plot is going to be something straight out of a comic book. The basic idea is Luna gets captured by King Sombra and Queen Chrysalis, the newfound leaders of Tartarus, married purely for political reasons. Like a comic book, tons of character development and action are required to be balanced with one another. Each character needs a weakness and struggles outside of their superhero life (E.g.: Relationship problems, they're a nerd, or they can't comprehend this new life.) To further advance the plot, let's make this team some of the first superhero's in Equestria. Equestria is a land full of magic, with a great economy, everyone cares about each other, and there is a top notch royal guard, so obviously crime rates are low. So how would they react to a big threat like .... Luna being forced to open the gates to Tartarus for the Four Horses of the Apocalypse to enter, before the Elements of Harmony are stolen. Well, there would be panic, and everyone would turn to the Royal Guard. But let's go back to a couple days before that. These superheroes are new to the job and naturally, they aren't good at it yet. So Equestrians walk around holding up signs saying "No More Manehattan Masked Freaks!" and "Can't you leave Canterlot, freak!" and much crueler things. Along with throwing rocks and stones at these heroes when they are seen. Some rules: If you wish to play as a canon character that isn't a background character, please consult with me about it first. Also try to make it feel like a comic book. And please guys, I beg you, don't just ponify characters from the comics, because I know that chances are you don't even read the comics. I know, I know, a guy in the original version played a Deadpool character, but the thing is, Deadpool hasn't HAD the media exposure that other characters get, you have to read the comics to really get into the character. (No, a video game that hasn't come out yet does not count as media exposure) But I won't be allowing Deadpool this time around because Deadpool is more of a solo character. Further more, this is not as much of the Avengers movie as it is Justice League. Each character has a SECRET IDENTITY, instead of just flat out saying who they really are. Now to lay down some rules about dark characters: 1. Just because your character lost a loved one to evil, does not mean they are a dark and gritty character, in fact, there are a ton of mainstream superheroes who lost their families. Superman lost his whole PLANET! 2. Just because you're character wields a gun/ is an anti hero, does not them dark and gritty. Deadpool has a dark and gritty past, is an anti hero, wields more guns than Steve Lee and is mentally disturbed, but dark and gritty are not the first words that come to mind when someone thinks of him. 3. Don't just make your character dark for the sake of them being dark. This is a MAJOR pet peeve of comic book fans, or just fans of source material to movies, everywhere, that started after Nolan's Batman. Just because something is dark and gritty , does not make it good. Don't believe me? Alien Vs Predator: Requiem, The Dark Knight Rises (It was the black sheep of the Nolan franchise), the Superior Spiderman (Let me put it this way, this comic makes me want to slap Dan Slott with a fish, and then slap him with an anchor, and then openly say I put him in the hospital, and wear my restraining order with pride, he's lucky I'm above murdering people, because I know there are people who care about these people, a lesson the moron named Dan Slott needs to learn ) Hunger Games (The movie that tries to make me care about the deaths of fictional characters with 11 seconds-5 minutes of screen time) Any Sci-Fi channel original movie. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point 4. If you're gonna give a character a gun, get creative, don't just give them an M-16 and say "AWESOME!", the comic book characters who carry guns are successful because they A. Have like a bajillion or B. Find a creative way to use a gun (Look at Dante in the Devil May Cry games for creative ways to use a gun) I will create a character page with a guide on what makes a superhero work.
Sounds interesting, like last time XD whout it be okay to use an OC with a custom crossbow (steel bolts, sleep darts, & grapple hook), a sword, & always stats beneath the mask be okay?
To be honest, I still wanted the rp to keep going. If you start it again, can I use the same oc? (probably was the only non-gritty/dark character, except for robinhood's oc who was... deadpool? basically.)
i would like to join again please slight alterations though no darkness powers except weapon channeling and also plasmids now a big daddy pony. ps if i can join i will be late to the party as my laptop died and typing on xbox is annoying
