Setting: The city of Etris Vil, once a land of industry and knowledge is now nothing but a forgotten wasteland of pipes, burned libraries, and decrepit buildings. You find yourself drawn to this place by both the note you have received anonymously and what seems like a dark presence. The note reads, “To all those searching for what they desire most. Go to the forgotten city and claim what is rightfully yours.” Somehow you were able to find your way to this place although the note gave you almost no directions and you only happened to stumble here. Was it coincidence? Something tells you no but you continue onward anyway. As you navigate the city you hear a dark voice echo around you and a shadow appear before you. Explanation: This is an OC (Original Character) tournament where you will make one character (or 2 characters that work together and are after the same goal and don't use a character you have already made before or care about anyway) and match your story, art, and uniqueness against other artists. The idea is that you create comics/ or animations that show your character winning against a random opponents character they created. While you do this so will the opponent. Both comic/ animations will be judged and the winner gets to proceed while the other character's creator loses the chance to continue. Also story wise the character wins and continues in the tournament. You will be given an opponent by the judges. Characters must be created by the artist and not taken from other stories. Your first task: Create a character sheet with descriptions of your characters abilities and a picture of that character. Your character cannot be immortal or unbeatable and must have some form of negative aspect (for instance the character has lost his/ her family and is mentally unstable). Also the character must have a goal and a background (what does your character want most?). Your second task: Draw the “Dark Stranger” conversing with your character telling him / her (in whatever way you feel) that he/ she is now part of a tournament were they must defeat all the other ponies within the city in order to get what he/ she desires. Your third task: After you have received your first opponent it is for you to decide whether they live or die after you beat them. You may make the battle either a comic or an animation but must be completed by the allotted time given or you are disqualified from the tournament. It is encouraged that you make comics in between battles if you have the time to do so, so that your story is fluid. If something happens that is unavoidable and is actually a legitimate excuse as to why your work will be late then contact us (don't worry I am pretty lenient). Total fighters: 32 will be chosen from those who submit their art of their character. If 32 is too high, then 16 will be the max amount of fighters. Reminder: This tournament is for fun and if you feel you don't wish to continue you may leave the tournament. But, you will disqualify your character, and your opponent wins automatically.
