Quillina Script slowly walked back towards the tent that she'd hastily erected for her partner. Her gray pelt was stained with black soot and dirt, while her saddlebags now bore an old and worn symbol of princess Luna. It was a grim reminder of exactly what this world had come to. She walked back and looked around, not sure where her friend was, "Hello?" ((I didn't know how you wanted to start so I made it short and simple))
(Wait, I was unclear as to which RP this is. This is the idea I came up with, but I can make another thread for that and make this the post-apocalyptic one.)
(I know, sorry for the confusion.) Star laid in rest in the ruins of the old library. She was deep in a book on history before the apocalypse. She was lost in the book, as if nothing had ever happened. She heard noise from outside. She took at a small knife, and produced an audible noise with her magic. "Who ever is there , back off now!"
Quillina yelped and jerked around slightly, "W-what the...?" She jumped back three paces, "I-I'm just looking for my friend! Please don't hurt me!" She cowered down, shutting her eyes tightly.
Star looked down on Quillina from an upper level with a steely gaze. She could tell Quillina wasn't lying. "Fine. You may look through this library, but don't touch ANYTHING."
"O-of course." Quillina whispered, "I'm Quillina Script, I was the former scribe to Princess Luna." It sounded rehearsed. After she said it, she looked too panicked to speak again.
"Luna? That's a name I wish I could hear again." Star sat back in her chair, and was absorbed into her book get again.
"Yes, Luna was a very elegant pony..." Quillina sighed in painful nostalgia, "she was always talking about doing more. She was a little formal, but still loved to do things. She enjoyed her life."
Quillina Sat down, "which book is that?" She asked, looking at the cover, "oh! That's a good one. Be careful though, it gets a little depressing towards the end."
"I know. You kind of burn through books fast when you have nothing to do all day save for defending this place from looters." She took a look at the clock. "Speaking of which, they should be coming right about now." She marked her page, got up, and stretched. A band of about 9 or 10 ponies with swords, bows, and spell books yelled at Star from the streets. "We know you have food and water in there! Hand it over!" Star was unphased, and looked at the bandits with the same look that she have Quillina. "We'll count to three before we come in there!" "One." Some of the unicorns flipped through pages in their books. "Two." Some archers knocked their arrows. "Three!" The archers and mages shot spells and arrows at her, but with a simple wave of the hoof, she stopped the projectiles in their path, and dispersed them as her horn glowed a dark green. There seemed to be a violent sort of air around her it only to the assailants. The bandits pupils shrunk a little, as if they were being controlled. "Come on guys! Let's scram!" They nodded in agreement and scattered away in fear.
Quillina was completely unable to focus when suddenly every started to fly and move. She cowered behind him and pulled out a small dagger, clutching it nervously. She never had to use it before... yet it was still useful to have on hoof. When it was over, she looked at Star and whispered, "Thank you..."
Star fell to the floor, grasping her head. "There's a purple potion on the desk over there, can you get it for me?"
Quillina nodded and ran over, shivering a litlte bit. She grabbed the potion with her teeth and laid it beside her, shaking, "T-there you go!"
Star lifted the bottle with her magic, popped off the cap and took a quick swig. "Thanks. That magic I just used gives me pretty bad migraines."
"I'm an earth pony." She blushed hard, looking down a little bit, "I'm not exactly that useful." She shivering a little and then looked up.
