Hey guys you may or may not know that the peps up at netflix somehow got a "good" idea to make a Zelda tv series. I am a huge Zelda fan and would love to see a live action series of the game however we know from past mistakes that live action video game movies/tv shows don't go well (*cough* Mario bros *cough*)

So the problem I have is how they are going to make it work, like is it going to be CGI crappy Gorons and Zoras or costumes and makeup?

will they make the story line? Will they use a games plot every season? For example Ocarina of time one season and Majora's mask another? What if they make a small mistake? Like a character seems different or they altered their personality? Who will hold back hordes of fanboys/girls going ape **** if they do?

How will they make Link's voice sound? Link like chell and Gordon freeman is a silent protagonist so how will they approach his voice? Will they give him a voice? Would they make Link a mute or something? I would just imagine what would happen if they mess it up..... three words " Excuse me princess!" **** that cartoon to Oblivion...

Lastly is the way they described it. Netflix envisions the series as a child friendly Game of Thrones.......
Wtf?! With out gore, sex and bad language?! That is what Game of Thrones is about!

Look I am hopeful it will come out good. I am just skeptical....really skeptical

There is 100% no possible way to make Game of Thrones child-friendly. One of the first chapters of the book is an incestuous couple pushing a 10-year-old child out a 3-story window, and that's not even the worst of it all. I haven't watched much of the television series, but if it's any way like the books you'd have to censor a good 95% of the story.

Well for starters it was released in the Wall Street Journal a prestigious newpaper.

    http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2015/02/06/legend-of-zelda-netflix-series/?KEYWORDS=legend+of+zelda

now this is true journalism where you can't post with out any reference and is different for Gaming journalism where sites like game spot just randomly posts rumors with out any evidence.

However it is true that Iwata the CEO of Nintendo did come forward and said "“As of now, I have nothing new to share with you in regard to the use of our IPs for any TV shows or films, but I can at least confirm that the article in question is not based on correct information,”

Iwata did not outright deny that Nintendo is looking into developing a television show based on the company’s IP, nor that the company has not considered a partnership with Netflix, only that the initial report was inaccurate.
So Nintendo may very well still be considering branching out into TV or film, but for now it appears any such project is nowhere near being announced in the foreseeable future.

    Why "child-friendly?"

    Why not "family-friendly?"

LoZ has been around for almost thirty years.
Did it not occur to Netflix that maybe the series has some adult fans?

Well, all videogames movies suck, while most videogame TV show are awesome, so making it into a TV show makes sense.

I wonder if they are gonna give Link any lines or not?

I honestly have no Idea, I suppose that is what they meant by child friendly? Perhaps they were meant to say family friendly? Well they did say some facts were wrong so maybe they never even mentioned GOT.

I agree with you one hundred percent there! Every single movie that is based on a game sucked donkey kongs manhood bar a few! I am glad they are making it for netflix instead a full length motion picture that would inevitably suck.

As with Link....I have no Idea, I rather them not to give him lines since that is how he is portrayed but then again he is not a mute.
I am in the middle on this one. One hand I rather not her him talk but on the other I don't want him to be entirely mute. Perhaps they may give him very few minor lines? Or maybe they would give him lots of lines but in Hylian? I rather if they give him lines as opposed to giving him none to flesh out his character however they need to make him the complete opposite of the animated series of legend of zelda..... I hate link in that he is so obnoxious and annoying in that show that pointy eared mother clopper!
