ok, so now we have 2 really evil characters. but which one do you like more? I'd vote for Discord. even dough he's evil, he's not really as evil and sinister as Chrysalis. Discord's kinda cool, and I'd love to see him again making some chaos. As for Chrysalis, I'm not very keen of seeing her again. Her tricks, in my opinion were pretty low, changing into Cadance and tricking everypony, and feeling from their love. Other hand, Discord's tricks were more smart and intelligent.
I respect Discord. He managed to single-handedly take over Equestria, whereas Chrysalis needed an army and a power source (Shining Armour). Also, Discord's tactics are much more smarter. He practically persuaded the mane 6 to de-friend each other. Chrysalis, on the other hand, had to use power and force to get her way. I like Chrysalis but Discord wins by a landslide.
Tecnically he is MORE evil then Chrysalis, he just did his evil in a more silly way, Remember. He wanted to plunge all of Equestria in chaos and he almost did it. The Queen wanted to feed her army by only taking over Canterlot. Discord had the power that NMM and Chrysalis had collectivly, He was just a silly villian, Thus the title God of "Chaos". Chaos is disarray, not malice. His showing of evil was interpreted into silly, but that did not make him any less powerful and dangerous.
Remember that they both in the end failed. I have more respect for Discord because Chrysalis was defeated by the very thing she came to feast on. Love. Meanwhile Discord came to cause chaos & was defeated by the opposite of chaos. Thus proving that Chrysalis overall was a fail.
Discord is so awesome, yet Chrysalis is so Dark... ... Argh. I think Chrysalis! She's such a baws, with her evil evilness! I just love how sinister she is, that's what I really love about those episodes- And I think they're some of my favourite episodes.
Discord. definitely Discord. tho he's wasn't really that evil, he just loves chaos (and boy does he make good chaos). Chrys is kinda cool, but she pretty much does every thing a villain should not. got way too overconfident just cause she beat Celestia's meager attempt at stopping her.
Discord, because John DeLancie. But seriously, if they were put into a fight I think Discord would win. We've seen the havoc and chaotic danger Discord conjure up rather easily, and for sheer amusement. Chrysalis needs to feed off others' love (which is kinda weird, not gonna lie) to have power and it seems she primarily relies on her horde for protection. If put into battle it would be interesting to see how powerful Chrysalis is without her having anybody to feed off of. In the end, Discord would win.
Changelings seem to not be very bright in general, and Chrysalis... well, she's no exception, really. "Yes! The power of his love made me even more powerful than Celestia!" "And now we'll use this power against you." "Oh, please. That will never work." ... Really? If that's not a wallbanger, I don't know what is. But I do love her design and voice, and her defeat looked less permanent than NMM's or even Discord's, so we'll likely see her again in Season 3. And Discord... well, he wasn't that much smarter, either. Somewhere in his odd gene pool he must be part changeling. But with him, it's actually more understandable. When you are this powerful, finding adequate challenges to keep your life interesting would be difficult. So he plays the role of joyfully chaotic prankster, but that doesn't make him any less evil. He too made a pretty good villain, and unless Celestia found a better hiding spot for him (not very likely - it's Celestia we are talking about after all), he could very well reappear, too. He'd have to be nerfed quite a bit though, maybe to "less evil, more prankster" status. Difficult to say who's my favorite, though. They were both interesting characters in their own rights.
If Chrysalis is not best villain, she is at least cutest villain, maybe with the exception of Luna. Whats not to like?
Chrysalis is adorable and Discord is pure awesome. I don't think they would fight each other. I'd love for them to team up.
Discord to me is the most epic villain. The thing about the chrysalis she did prevent the elements of harmony to be gotten but she dis overlook the fact that cadence was free and had her powers still intact. In overlooking this small factor turned to be her downfall cause though she sapped the power from shining armor cadence still had her power untouched and her giving her power to shining armor the chrysalis was screwed. Now Discord hid the elements of harmony cause he knew that they would be the only thing that could take him down, since celestia was no god and did not have the power to take on a god since she was no longer attached to the elements of harmony which is how he really escaped his stone prison. He also turned all the ponies into the opposite of what they were making them get out of touch with the elements they represent and if it wasn't for celestia sending the letters twilight made back to her he would have kept his victory. So to me his plan was way more thought out and cunning.
Discord probably has the advantage, the only real issue is that like NNM he never directly attacks. He's a trickster, but the fact that he was able to change a ponies anatomy gives him a great chance of beating queen whats-her-face. Sure the queen might be fully powered by love, but Discord could remove love from the fight(that discord touch thing, make the lover hate her). Since her power comes from love, without it she'd be powerless. Therefor Discord would win.
Steps For Taking Over Equestria: Discord: 1. Break free of stone 2. Use powers of chaos through clawtip 3. Take over Equestria Chrysalis: 1. Travel from homeland to Equestria 2. Find Cadence at the wedding or elsewhere 3. Infiltrate the wedding as Cadence 4. Feed off the love of Shining Armour enough until the sheild deactivates 5. Summon in army to start feeding 6. Take over Equestria
