Interest Check, with Intro and Rules: http://www.everypony.com/forums/showthread.php?8033-Civilization-(Interest-Check) ^ RULES/INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT ON THE FIRST PAGE AND THEY'RE REALLY LONG AND I AM TOO LAZY TO REPOST. Anyways. Here's a template that you should be giving me: Nation Name: Nation Leader: Anything Else (History/Description/Government, all that good RP stuff): Leader Trait 1: Leader Trait 2: Sign up, sign up, sign up, please! ^^
Nation Name: Glory Nation Leader: Jakus Julii Leader Traits: Anything Else (History/Description/Government, all that good RP stuff): Glory is an oddity indeed, with it's government being a strange mix monarchy and democratic rule, with power split between a king(called a Preatorian) and a Great Senate(Called the Magnii Sentatus). It's a nation born of war as it was forced to move from it's original home from the tribes it sprung from, now it has an aim to use that violent birth as a way of securing their future, by way of crushing the futures of those that stand in the way and helping the ones that do not. Maybe they'll eventually get revenge on their home tribes for what they did to them.... Leader Trait 1: Agressive Leader Trait 2: Expansive
Nation Name: Breezedawn Nation Leader:King Theodore Leader Traits:look down Anything Else (History/Description/Government, all that good RP stuff): The Free Land of Breezedawn is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its compassionate population are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt. It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Equality, Commerce, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Breezelia. The average income tax rate is 57%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Soda Sales, and Cheese Exports industries. Teenage fathers are forced to join the army, cyber-crime and tin-foil hat sales are both increasing at record rates, reporters often lose their jobs over fact-checking errors, and refugees from other nations are flocking to Breezedawn's border. Crime is relatively low, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Breezedawn's national animal is the hawk, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the brezic silver. Leader Trait 1: scientific Leader Trait 2: defensive
Naw, thanks for the offer, but they shouldn't be any trouble at all. ^^ I'm just glad you're all interested, since honestly I wasn't planning on getting this far due to lack of said interest. xD
Nation Name: Stalliongrad Nation Leader: Tsaritsa Korona Severu Anything Else: Korona Severu recently came into power after her father, Rassveta Koronu, died of illness. The government is one of absolute monarchy (with a few advisors), with the firstborn ascending to the throne after the previous ruler dies or is deposed (it’s happened). Despite having the role of monarch, Korona sees herself as a servant of the citizens, rather than them serving her. Stalliongrad itself has a rather lengthy history, stretching back to Feudal Equestrian times, where it was founded as an Earth Pony colony. Since then, at least one of every race of pony has held the throne, but the majority of the population is still the industrious, hard-working earth pony. Korona’s family are unicorns. Stalliongrad is mainly a peaceful country that believes in working from the inside out, only expanding when it's necessary. Leader Trait 1: Creative Leader Trait 2: Protective
All of these are good, very good... -paces and waits for more poniez to sign up- Can't...hold...on...much...LONGER!
Don't ya dare start without me! I NEED THIS SO MUCH! Nation Name: Imperium Nation Leader: Facade Anything Else (History/Description/Government, all that good RP stuff): The Imperium is ruled by the Emperor. There is no debating his rule, and those who do don't last long. However, the people respect and admirer their God Emperor for he has shown respect and love for those who obey and excel in a field. Though he rules with an iron hoof, his silver tongue has allowed his Empire grows as the people work hard to earn his favor which he gives out regularly to those who impress him. Thus the ponies ruled by him have grown quite intelligent, which have in turn allowed his people to advance in technology at a breakneck pace. This however has come with a price, for the Emperor has the ambition equal to a mad God. Though he is willing to use his sly tongue in diplomacy his army, mainly composed of mercenaries, is always at his back waiting to strike. And to ensure loyalty of his paid soldiers, he instills Commissars into the groups, to ensure loyalty and efficiency. He even offers training and weapons so his army is not caught unprepared in the battlefield. Leader Trait 1: Aggressive Leader Trait 2: Scientific
^ Doragon, Charismatic is unfortunately not a trait in this game... I can see you probably play actual Civ, though. ^^
Haha...Crap! My aplogies, I typed it a little late. But yes I do! I'm slightly addicted to the game. Such a fantastic game! And let me edit my post real fast.
Nation Name: The Crystal Empire Nation Leader: Condanna Lead to power by the emergance and expansion of the Frozen Stone's Followers, Condanna has been blessed with the direct links to the crystal itself, and it has brought her to the belief that one can only spread the truth by domination through crystal science! As the orders of the crystal say; there are other stones like it, and she must control them. So, she has decided the only way to be sure to control the crystals, is to control the world! Trait 1: Spiritual Trait 2: Scientific
Ah, I was wondering when a "Spiritual" or "Philosophical" would come up. :3 They're quite useful, though not quite as exciting as the others like "Scientific" or "Aggressive". I assure you, though, all of the abilities are equally useable. It's just how you use them that determines if they are helpful or not. ^^ Anyways, I will have a map soon (while we wait for more ponies to sign up, maybe), and then we can start once that's finished.
All right, I have completed a map! I have divided it into land (light grey), ice/frozen wasteland (white), and unihabitable/unexplorable land (dark grey). The Echo is a seemingly endless stretch of land where there is absolutely nothing. No trees. No animals. No mountains. No features whatsoever. Tribes who wander into this area often find themselves residing The Lost World is a place where there are strange ruins of structures and objects whose purposes are lost in the void of time. Any ponies who go into this strange land become incurably sick and often die, so it is much avoided and much feared. The Northern Wastes are an enormous expanse of icy tundra that spans the entire northern border of the known world. You cannot plant things here, and clearing all the snow from this large amount of frankly not-too-appealing land is not worth the effort. In addition, the weather is wild and uncontrollable here, and snow simply piles back up.
Haha, yeah, I did kinda steal it from the internet and then made up descriptions for the areas. (Probably inaccurate descriptions...) But it works well enough for the purpose we need it for. ^^ No, my bad. I forgot to post that I still haven't divided the land area into territories. :derpe: I just posted this so you guys could see it and start thinking about RP things and/or where you might want to start.
Ooookay, and this is not dead, I promise promise PINKIE promise! I have school and it is taking a massive toll on my time and also on my level of awake-ness. I pinkie promise that I will finish the map and post it sometime next week when I have Thanksgiving break, and then I will hopefully be able to get this started! ^^ I know I've been gone a while, and Quill is supposed to be gone for an indefinite amount of time, so perhaps I will control his Civilization, if that is okay with him. How many of the rest of you are still here??
