Max was walking through the market, looking for the chimney he was gonna start with cleaning. Basically everytime he was called to this job, he had to clean a chimney that either was gonna be special, hasn't been cleaned for days, or was really long. As he trotted along the market, he came to notice the other ponys. They were of different colors, from blue to red and from yellow to green. He looked at the roof and smiled, knowing that he had seen his chimney. He trotted up to the door and knocked on it. He didn't seem to notice the dark, DARK red unicorn in the alley a little away from his position. (Yay for one on one RP between me and Miss Jtrk!)
Freedom Flowers trotted along to the door, opening it with a tired hoof. "Hello?" she asked, rubbing her eyes with a wing.
Max eyes widened at the pony before him. He couldn't begin to describe the work of art that was standing before him. The coat, the frazzled mane, the eyes, everything about her shined in his eyes! He stared at her, just taking in her full beauty, not caring about what he was originally there for. (Also, this will be played out the day when Karl tryed to kill him, but failed and instead succeeded in scarring Max for life, causing him to stop trusting in anypony, and becoming the pony we all know today! )
Freedom waved a hoof infront of his face, yawning. "Hello? Mr Creeper? You in there?" she asked. "The name's Freedom."
Max snapped back to life, blushed a little and said, "Um, yes! I'm the chimney sweeper! I've come to clean up your chimney!" He then took a few steps back and looked up at the house. "Hm, it's a little high, but i think i can manage to get up there. "He thought to himself, then turned to face the pony to wait for permission, again taking in her full beauty in her tired stance.
"But, who hired you-" she flushed as he turned around and swallowed. "Um, right this way." She blushed, flying to a set of stairs. "Just up there and take a left. Follow the weird looking pixies and you should be on the roof." She yawned again. "You need help, just yell, okay?"
Max trotted in looking at the house as he approached the stairs. He usually climbed the houses, but he would do whatever the pony would tell him to do as long as he could take another look at the beautiful pony he had gotten the name for, but then suddenly realised that he hadn't told her his own name. "Oh, and by the way! I'm Max Rainhardt. Pleased to meet you, Freedom!" He stretched out his hoof, motioning for a hoof-shake.
Freedom saluted, taking an odd stance. Realizing he wanted a hoof shake, she obliged, looking at the ground. "Nice to meet you, too, Max."
They shaked hoofs, then he walked up the stairs and took a left turn. He saw what she meant by weird-looking pixies. He followed them up to the roof, and looked at the chimney. He jumped up on it, smiling widely at how dirty it looked, soon he would have 20% of that ash on him. He was just gonna start when he noticed a dark red pony looking at him with cracked smile, pupils only darts on his eyes. "Um, hello?" he asked. The pony suddenly lounged at him, knocking him on the ground. He saw the crazed pony holding a long shortsword with a needle built in between the blade. He shouted, "Um, FREEDOM! HELP NOW!" The pony jumped down and started slowly walking towards him in bi-pedal stance, holding the knife with his right hoof. (i'm gonna sleep now, so one post and then you'll have to wait.)
"Um, FREEDOM! HELP! NOW!" Freedom jumped, fully awake. Holy Tartarous, that was loud. She flew up to the roof, cocking an eyebrow. Max was on the ground under a red pony. "Okay, that looks cool." The red pony looked away from Max, looking crazed. "Pf. You look like a preschooler who didn't get a Happy Meal toy at McBucks."
The pony smiled grimly and said, "Max, is this your new girlfriend?" Max instantly knew who it was from the jolly voice. It was Karl, one of the fillies he had met at kindergarten, he was one of the ponys that got bullied, but he eventually got back to them with a revenge water fountain. He had been reknown as the most crazy killer in all of Canterlot, but now he was in Ponyville. Max took the opportunity to kick him between the legs. Karl fell down on the ground, dropping the knife. Max jumped for it, rolled on the ground picking it up. "Not so smart now are ya?" Max said, grinning wildly. Karl stood up, recovered from the hit. "My knife. I need that knife." Karl said as he turned around and punched Max in the stomach, grabbed the knife and quickly threw it at Freedom.
The knife hit her hoof, bouncing off. She snorted and put her hoof in her mouth. This....Pffff. She eventually burst out laughing. "Nice...try," she managed.
Max double-folded. He knew that Karl was very strong, but this was just ridiculous. He grabbed one of Karls legs. This pony wasn't gonna best him. Not when he had the chance to know Freedom some more. He swiped the leg around, making Karl fall, and quickly stood up, putting a hoof on Karls side. Karl twisted, directing another hoof to connect with Maxs jewels. The hoof landed perfectly.
"Yes. Please?" Max was doublefolded from the hit. He could barely stand up when Karl hit him in the face, almost braking his jaw. he fell back and hit the side on the chimney he had been supposed to clean. If he just had his broom with him, then he could kick up some smoke and run past Karl, but his broom was on top of the chimney. He fell down spewing out curses and coughed a little now and then. "Hey. Hey Karl." He chuckled at the dark red pony infront of him. "Remember that in a fight with multiple ponies involved, there's always one that can counter you." Was the last words he said before falling unconscious. Now it was up to Freedom.
