A Confession of Lies and Deceit As told by Myself My dear friends and advisors on Everypony.com… It is my great displeasure to tell you that I am leaving permanently. Allow me to explain myself, for there is a reason. I am no longer afraid to admit that I was, and still am a fool. But what is a man but a fool with a mouth and a means to move? I have lied to you all. It’s a lie that many people live on the internet, and my recent absence has been a side effect of this. I am not truly of a 23 year old age, and my name is not Rolf. My name is Kristoph Michael Westonin, of 16 years of age. Essentially, the only thing I have lied about myself, is my age, and of course, having a wife and brother. Yeah. I do have a kid on the way. It’s a mistake that I wish I never made, sure. But I’m only human, and as such, we all make mistakes. Mine was lying blatantly to all of you for quite some time now. But allow me to explain myself. And I’m not one particularly for excuses, but it’s an explanation, nonetheless. I was ashamed of who I was, that day, 3 months ago. I was afraid of myself and of what others would think of me if I truly said what I thought at my age, and wondered if anything I had said would be taken seriously. I took upon the guise of my so-called “Dream” and toyed with everyone, manipulated them, per se. Except, every word that I had ever typed out here has been the truth, and nothing but the truth, with the exception of the aforementioned subjects. Whatever dignity I felt like I had left was put into my posts, to ensure that I could stay true to myself and to others, albeit under a guise of falsehood. So I took a risky gamble that I hoped to play out until the end. But 3 people changed this for me. This little game is nothing but a charade now that I have been playing out for the longest time. Those three people are Affection, ePONYmous, and Zephyr Wind. Affection: It started out as a rivalry, and then we drifted apart as nothing more than mere enemies of a common goal. His revelation that ePONY and I discussed at great length in Skype about 2 weeks ago is what caused this whole web of lies to be cut with the Machete of Truth. ePONYmous: The first person I actually told. Time and time again, I was constantly pressured by this man to tell the ultimate truth, the one that would ultimately end in my self-destruction here. And here I am. I respect you a great deal, ePONY. And I’m not going to lose that respect I have for you for a while. Zephyr: The second one that I have told, and the one that I have had feelings for, for the longest of the time. He has already made his point clear: He shall stand by me through whatever decision I make. Whether this decision end with a ban, me leaving, or me staying, is all up to me and the administrators. In my final words here on Everypony, I shall list my honest opinions of everyone here, pros and cons alike. Affection: You’re too hard on yourself, and you’re stubborn. But you have a kind heart and is willing to accept the fact of his own wrongdoing. ePONYmous: The amount of respect I have for you is unparalleled by anyone here. I understand things got off to an edgy start, but things are finally coming to a close. Derpy Hooves: You’re hard but you’re fair, if not with that slightest hint of sarcastic undertone within all of which you say. DanSze: Never once lied about being in 4Chan for 4 years straight. Keep it classy wherever you may go from here. Foxytail & Flash: I’ve got nothing but positive things to say, and it’s things I haven’t already said in Skype and about you two. I hope everything truly does go well with you both. Dwynter: Yeah. Nothing I haven’t said before. You’re like a father to me. I understand the fact that I couldn’t possibly hope to make amends. But hey, it takes more than a child to admit his wrongs. Luprony: Enjoy life while it lasts. Things never go the way we plan them to. There are always twists and turns to life that remain ambiguous. You may never figure out the cause, but that doesn’t mean you should give up. As recited by Diego Armando, whom Testyal would know, “A lawyer can only cry when it’s all over.” It’s only over when you quit. Don’t. That’s about all I can say. I hope you find your way out of this hole. Setzer: There are just some things I wish I could say, but I can’t, really, for the sake of your privacy. I can only hope that you find the help you need. DRD: Stay the same happy person you are. I’m glad you can see the light in almost everything like you do. Viper: Same applies to the conversation we (Never Did) had. I meant you no offense in that particular “Incedent”, and while I don’t ask for your forgiveness, I just need your understanding. Or, of course, you can troll. I couldn’t really care less. Last, and certainly, definitely, not the least, Zephyr Wind: There are so many things I wish to say that makes my brain and heart hurt with a vengeance.You’ve been nothing but kind, supportive, and loyal to me, and you’ve even said, even after the web I had constructed broke, said you’d stand with me through my decision to make this known. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for me and for everyone else. In my closing statement, I shall recite my signature once more, as an eternal reminder. “The truth will always find a way to make itself known. The only thing we can do is to fight with the knowledge we hold and everything we have. . It's never easy... We claw and scratch for every inch. But we will always eventually reach that one single truth. This I promise you." Everything I have said has been a foreshadowing of events. You do realize that the average user age on the site is from 16-20 correct? For what reason were you pressured to lie about your age in the first place?
I wish I could say I was surprised, but I lost that capability long, LONG ago. Not to mention that I honestly do not care. You are a person, a person with opinions, with thoughts, many of which proved to be interesting. That is all that matters. In the end, I think most people here will agree that the only person that's punishing you for telling this tiny, in the grand scheme of things, lie is yourself, and even then only because you make it out to be bigger than it is. That said, the only person that needs to forgive you is yourself. If you are reading this, you are already taking the first step to that forgiveness of self. After all, you returned where you claimed you had no plans to return, no?
i really don't now what to say. i learned about this before you posted, i just wish i had to learn from you and not outside sources. you are a great friend and will always be a great friend, no matter what lies you have made. my signature is practically what i try to live by, give or take the commitment, but i forgive you for this. if anything i respect you more now than ever. i don't ever leave my friends behind no matter what the issue is. the fact is Saikyo, you are my friend, and in my heart, will always be. and as this book closes, i hope that you decide to start a new book with us. and i promise you that i will be right there with you helping you through those hard points, make sure that no pages are left blank. i will be right there helping you make the best of your life. i will help you guide your hand onto that first page and write the first words, "my name is Kristoph, and this is the real me."
All the time I was reading this, I was asking myself the question "so what?" So you lied about your age. It's the internet. We all hide behind a mask of anonymity, we are are faceless avatars. It's the content of your posts that tells us who you really are, not where it comes from. Besides, who hasn't lied about their age at least once in their life? Ever try being the only 20 year old in a college drinking scene trying to get into bars? You end up doing that a lot. So you don't have a wife. Who cares? We weren't talking to "her", we were talking to you. Whether you are or are not married is pretty irrelevant when it comes to being an online personality. I see why you did it, and I'd be lying if I said I haven't done the same in the past myself. We all kinda sometimes wish we were someone else, or at least a slightly better version than ourselves. Being online affords us the opportunity to do so. I haven't lied about myself since joining everypony, but there is a lot about myself that I haven't divulged to anypony, because I would want people to judge me based on the content of my messages rather than judging me based on age/race/gender/etc. If people want to get to know me, they will. If not, then they won't. Not a big deal. Anyway, now you've come clean, we all have a big group hug and forgive you. Then get back to sharing and discussing ponies, which is why we're here. I may not know you very well, but I know enough to say that you're not a bad person and I value your opinions and advice just as much as I did before you posted this. Just as much as everypony here. I only respect you more since you were honest with us about this. And regardless of your age, I think you're one of the more mature voices on here. However, if you're quitting just because of this, then you're less mature than I thought you were. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you luck with it, but you should really reconsider. I'm sure most people will forgive you, and most will be happier if you stay.
Truth is only an allusion to the future. You are young and, therefore, have all the time in the world to make everything right. You can only bend reality with force of action, and not will alone. As Dr. House would say, "Everybody lies." An online moniker is only what you want it to be. It's not meant to be an eidetic of your life in original intents and purposes. You mold it into what you want it to be. The only difference in this case is: It hadn't affected how the majority would react. It does not change who we intend to be, only how we approach or interpret. I hope you can overcome whatever problems you face and regain a serenity in your life. You will find only support here, but the world is where you will find the tools to make use of it. It's the information that accompanies it, not the age itself.
Gasp! You lied on the internet?! Big deal! I'd like to see one person on here, or on the internet itself, that hasn't lied to impress or make themselves more interesting. The fact is, you've admitted the truth - that makes me quite proud and happy. I could go on, but I fear you're not online reading this. If you are - I forgive you Kristoph. Please come back.
I am surprised Saikyo and I believed you. But you are still a great member of these forums and I don't want you to leave. I can't make you stay, but please know that you have made many of my days brighter and I was looking forward to sending you a message when I managed to reach 2 week sober. But then I decided to drink to tonight's pony stream so it may not have been this week. I can honestly say you were the most trustworthy and kind person I met on these forums. So offence to anypony else but I attached to Saikyo due to us having many problems in common.
With all due respect, you were not "constantly pressured" by me to tell the truth. I haven't spoken with you in 10 days. I only asked you twice. Once on Skype, and once on here via PM. Remember that. That hardly constitutes me "constantly" pressuring you. Regardless, thank you for the respect you have for me. Thanks, but I can see my initial prediction is coming to fruition. I seem to recall saying that members wouldn't make a big deal out of it. You lied about your name, age and some things about your life, but, in the big scheme of things, these aren't major. It certainly isn't something you have to leave the community for. If you really have chosen to leave, that's a real shame, because you don't need to. If anything, the members here should respect you more for revealing the truth. I know I do. I'd rather be friends with the real you, any day.
Exactly Saikyo. I'm not making a big deal about it I want you back. I really did believe you were 24 (or whatever), because I know someone who is 20 despite looking 13. I gave you the benefit of the doubt. Am I mad that you lied, not one bit. What matters is the person you are not the shield you held up. The words coming from behind that shield were still genuine and despite your age and actual position in life, those words were the person I got to know and he really inspired me to start taking my will to live seriously. I actually assumed you were 20+ because you spoke with such wisdom, only when I saw your picture was I shaken, but I had so much trust that I over looked it. Saikyo I lied to my own best Real Life friends in worst way and they have forgiven me everytime, so I forgive you. Don't you every thing you don't have a home here and if you ever want a hug we are here with open arm and hearts. We Love You.

The internet is full of lies. In fact, no. LIFE is full of lies. There's nothing wrong with lying, disguising the truth, hiding yourself or revealing nothing. These are ways of life. Anyhow, I hope this leave isn't permanent, as you said it was going to be. I like you very much, Saikyo, no matter what lies you've told.
I don't really care. I used a false youtube account back in the day to access restriced content. It doesn't matter if you are 16 or 23, it is the same to me. I happen to be 20 now, and there is not a big difference from when I was 16. You may not be Applejack, but I can't see how your lies would matter. You have no reason to leave, you are welcome to stay .
I'm not going to say anything that I haven't already told you these past weeks. I have your back and you can clearly see that the others here feel the same. You lied, that much is clear, but that doesn't define who you are. You might be leaving, but we'll talk soon my friend.
Well now my thoughts were somewhat proven. Since the day you chilled on Ventrilo, I was like; "There is no way that can be someone that is 23." Well we or at least I, forgive you. I'll also miss you, until you ever decide to come back. Hopefully we will cross paths one day in the future IRL. Also, there is no shame to lie on the forums. It happens all over the internet. Hey, hey, Saikyo! I feel like I haven't even gotten to know you yet. That's a shame, that is. I wish you wouldn't leave. If you're ashamed, don't be. The coolest thing you did here was admitting you lied. But I do think you're being a tad melodramatic. It's all secrets and lies with these ponies anyway. Besides, most everypony on this forum welcomes you here regardless of what you did or said. I still think you're cool.
I haven't talked to you much, Saikyo, but over the past several months I've grown to respect you quite a lot. Your posts often have a lot of wisdom as well as being pretty hilarious. Basically, you seem like a really cool guy and your age doesn't change that. My opinion of you is unchanged. Actually, I think I respect you more now, because it had to take a lot of courage to say this. Anyways, I hope you decide to stick around!
