Hey everypony! I am going to get a computer (Using my phone to get connection to tha Internet) , any suggestions on a good, low price comuter? :3
It completely depends what you want to use it for. Are you planning to do anything that'll need a better PC (gaming, multimedia editing)?
Go to a computer store, ask for the cheapest computer? :derpe: I have a HP computer which i bought for €590. It's nothing special, but it gets the job done.
That's probably the best advice you'll get. Go to your local computer store and ask them what'd be a good PC for your needs. Although I'm not a fan of pre-built PCs (I always build my PCs myself), for those without experience, they're the best chance unless you got someone who can build you a custom one. I can give you some reccomandations though: For the CPU, you'll want one from Intel, for the graphics card go for Nvidia.
I got a reasonably good gaming PC for just about £700. It quite powerful, can pull of games nicely. As the others said though, depends what you're doing with it... ^This
Even if you have never built one before, I'd still tell you to consider buying the parts and have someone make it for you. You'll get more out of it over how ever long you have it compared to a pre-built one. lol. dun mayke me laff.
It completely depends whether you want a laptop or desktop PC. If you want to be able to move it around, go to your nearest computer store and buy a laptop. However, if you want more power, get a desktop. If you want a really decent one, build it yourself. Normally, you only save money by building a PC if it's worth around £1000. Since you want a low price PC, a laptop will probably suit you best. Just go to your nearest PC store and they'll help you.
I'd so love Windows XP os. and Dell. (or you can make it on your own) XP IMO is the best os for gaming, music, and pictures... But...i'm stuck with 7....
I don't know of a single computer so bad you can't even play a game like Minecraft. When it comes to Minecraft, any lag the game experiences will likely be from your internet connection.
If you want to budget, I suggest looking into AMD as an option; Performance wise you are unlikely to see much difference (Assuming the same class of processor) Unless you start pushing towards limits. ATi versus NVidia is honestly irrelevant in the long run, Although I suggest against on-board video for desktops. If you are more interested in a laptop, Intel and NVidia will best compliment portability As they have the best power management solutions; Optimus being exclusive to NVidia equipped notebooks Powered by Intel processors, And potentially doubling if not tripling battery life. Don't get too attached to a specific brand, You may end up blind-sighting yourself away from the best solution. Of course, if it comes down to a choice between to comparable Machines, you're welcome to pick favorites. Additionally, When looking at the hardware of a computer, Prioritize things you need over things you'd like to have, But furthermore, try to put more weight on things that are difficult Or impossible to change (CPU, etc.) over upgradable, replaceable Or expandable components (RAM, Storage, Webcam, etc.) Lastly, Usually comparing your desired price range to what's in it Is a good way to gauge what your options are. If you are not content, don't force the purchase. Not going to point out any specific machines, As everyone has their own tastes and needs. EDIT: As another note, Try not to picture a price in your head when looking for a computer, It's best to find what you'd like most, And then see what you can do for accommodating the purchase. Otherwise you might end up simply not finding what you wanted Because it was $50 or so over your budget. I hope this offers some help; I work in retail by the way. Sent from my Transformer
Then a decent CPU, 4gb Ram and a decent Graphics cards are in order, My pc runs minecraft without lag, I have an AMD Athlone II Tri core 3.3ghz processor, if you don'rt want AMD then get the Intel or phenom equivalent (not sure what would be equivalent to it) And I use a Sapphire Ati Radeon 5550 Graphics card, all these parts were fairly cheap and it get's the job done well I think he means offline in singleplayer, and believe me it isn't hard to get minecraft to lag on your pc, the graphics may be bad (cool) But the map is incredibly huge, and any extreme activity can make it lag
Intel Xeon 8-core. Avoid AMD CPUs at all costs. After that, get a Nvidia GeForce GTX with sexy looking numbers. Also, RAM. 16GB of 1666MHz DDR3 should do the trick. Also, get a sexy looking case. In all seriousness, get something cheap by HP or something.
