Hello there! I have this game here called Paint World Conquest! It was being played by a few members a while back, but... they stopped responding, and so it stopped getting updated.

However, I want to revive it. To avoid the post stopping though, this time I want to introduce "counsels".

    First! Them
Setup:The GM, or one of the players draws the world map. This needs to have ocean, land mass, mountain, desert, ice, and rivers.

The players choose their colors from Red, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, Purple, Cream, Teal, Sky, Magenta, Violet, and Brown. Up to 12 people can play.

If there is a GM, they will place the players depending on what back-story they get. If no GM is available, then the first player will place the second player. The second will place the third, and so on, until every player has been placed.

Each player is placed with 15 population, and has 60 food.

The game is then played until someone is declared the winner by a majority of the other players.

    Turns:
Turns run in a round robin circuit, or clockwise depending on start locations.

On each player’s turn, they can use their resources and allocate people to jobs in order to increase production.

As long as there is no cross-continent transport required, movement is free for people.

    Person Jobs:
Populate: By pairing up two population for 4 turns, a new population will be added to the total. On the first of the 4 turn period, neither population assigned to this task can be assigned to another goal. During the other 3 turns, only one of the population may be assigned to another goal.
Clear Ground: For every 1 population assigned to this task, 1 square of forest can be cleared. This will give the player 2 wood and 4 food. The cleared ground becomes “floor.”
Forage for Supplies: Allows the player to gain supplies by interacting with the terrain. At first, only food can be foraged. For every population interacting with forest, 2 food is gained.
Build: Constructing buildings takes time. For each person assigned, 1 block of wall gets placed, and it uses 1 piece of material that’s been collected for building. In the beginning, that is wood. Wall should be built on cleared ground, otherwise it destroys what’s on the ground without collecting the materials.
Train: Increases the combat skill of the person by 1 for every turn training. Training for the first time allows the player to name a hero. Heroes can last up to 120 turns before dying of old age.
Research: Look into new ways to live and research new technology with which to control the world with. Each person researching adds 1 point to a selected technology, and for every 3 people researching, an extra 1 point is added at random to an available technology.
Move Transport: Allocate a number of people to a transport. By next turn, they will be at their destination.

At the end of each turn, 1 food is consumed for every person in the empire. For every 2 points of food unable to be consumed, a person dies of starvation.

    Combat:
Combat is resolved with a D12 rolled for each warrior. The warrior gets to add their combat skill to the roll. The one with the higher result injures the other warrior to the point that they are not able to fight anymore. If they do at least 10 points more, they kill the enemy outright. Some heroes and technologies unlock skills for in-combat usage that can be used on a player’s turn.

    Research:
For simplicity there are 4 trees one can go down with just a few branches.

    Combat Tree:
Researching new combat technologies will allow soldiers to do things like; attack at a distance, increase base combat skill, and allow for new skills to allow modifiers.

    Geology Tree:
Allowing your people to take more from the land, and build different things with different resources. (Like STONE houses!) These allow for more stability and resistance against the elements. Some geology tree techs are required for some of the branches in other trees, (like metals. Bronze, Iron, Steel, etc.)

    Essentials & Economics Tree:
Things like food, clothes, things that make your people happy. Researches in this tree can increase foraging, allow foraging in different areas, and teach your people to trade with goods instead of taking what they want. This can create an economy system later on, allowing you to gain the GOLD resource.

    Research & Development Tree:
This tree is full of construction options that allow your people to build new things with the resources they find through the geology tree! This tree also gives more pathways to research, and things like language, and writing.

As players learn what technologies are available, they will unlock more. At first, there are four technologies available for 10 points each: Hunting, Pointy Sticks, Mud, and Wooden Buildings. Hunting will increase your Foraging production by +1 for every 3 people assigned to the task. Pointy Sticks will set your combat skill at +1. Mud allows you to cultivate water from the rivers and combine it with your stick huts to reinforce them. To build anything with wood, you’ll need to research Wooden Buildings.

Now, in this game we're also going to have Species Traits for each empire, which will allow a bit of uniqueness on each side. So each group can choose from:

Repopulation +1 = Repopulation only takes 3 turns, instead of 4.
Foraging +1 = An additional +1 resource is found during foraging for every 5 people assigned to foraging.
Clearing +1 = An additional square is cleared on a turn where people are assigned to clearing. One more is cleared for every 5 people clearing.
Building +1 = An additional wall is built on a turn where people are assigned to building. One more is cleared for every 5 people building.
Combat Skills +1 = Warriors start with +1 on their combat rolls.
Research +1 = An additional +1 research is applied for every 4 people researching, stacking with the extra at 3.

I also want to introduce COUNSELS! Each Glorious Leader must have at least one member of their Counsel, which is someone who can make turn orders as well. Also, if the Glorious Leader disappears for too long, the Counsel takes over. A new Glorious Leader is picked from the Counsel by the Counsel, and at least one other member must be in the Counsel after the Glorious Leader is picked.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED! This won't be totally hosted on EP. I want to have 6 empires, and here's how to sign up... you PM me the following:

    Empire Name:
    Species Trait:
How This Species Came to Be:
    Counsel Member(s):
    Tumblr Name(s):

You and your counsel will then by put in as the commanders for that group, and you will make your actions by sending them to the tumblr; http://paintworldconquest.tumblr.com and on each day, all of the turns will be posted. Everyone will receive a PM when the game starts! Don't mind the current posts on that tumblr, it will all be cleared for the new game.

I'm just poking this. I only have two empires signed up. I was hoping for at least four to start.
