So, the other day, i was using Photoshop to make a v2 of a theme i made for the BF3 platoon i am in (The Equestrian Knights) when i pressed "Ctrl + Shift + I" to inverse my selection. It opened up the program "iZoom" which pretty much, zooms the screen in (it put it to 350% i think) and thats when the problem occured. My Windows 7 computer ( Home Premium 32-bit ) resetted to windows 7 basic and i don't know how to restore it to my actual version. It's not so much a "Problem" , More of an annoyance, since it changed the Text Font to a horrible font, i mean it's just disgusting. Let me show you at the bottom. Anyway, i'd be really thankful if anypony could help me at all. The reason i find it annoying is that i want my electonics to look best, i'm somewhat OCD-ish about it. don't know why, but that isn't the problem i'm resolving, so i'll keep my muzzle shut here. anyway, Umm, i don't really know what to say here, so, umm, i guess, thank for your time ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ EDIT : Ok, so apparently, snipping tool sees it normally. *Facehoof* EDIT 2 : so, because of this problem, i'll have to explain it. Think of Windows 95. yeh, it's that font >.>
Sometimes if you're low on memory windows will disable the 'aero' interface aspect (the see through/clear crystal aesthetics), to increase performance. Replacing it with an xp or millenium opaque interface. Is this what's happening? Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Right! I've had this before. To turn it back on, I tend to go to the search bar in the start menu and type 'performance'. From there, you'll want 'Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows' to bring up the performance options. Choose 'adjust for best appearance' and hit OK or apply. That oughta do it. The reason it does it is probably the fact that your computer has attempted to run the extra program but found that your resources weren't quite enough so reduced them to improve performance of your machine automatically. Either that or the Magnifier tunes down your computer's prettiness so that it's all easier to see to poorer eyesights. An alternative way of turning everything back is to go to the desktop, right click and go to personalise. Then choose a theme. That ought to be a little simpler.
it's possible bug on windows due to low virtual memory. it happens often when you put something on full screen (specially video games), but you don't see it because you're on full screen. Your settings are probably right (since snipping tool can see your settings), just they are not applied after you got out of that iZoom. One Reboot should do the trick.
@LEBH, that would make sense now xD @Tyro, i tried the personalise before, with no luck, i also just tried the 'performance' option. no luck @Yeti, i don't play games on my laptop, i leave that to my trusty xbox rebooting didn't help, and trust me, the laptop has been re-booted many times, since ive had this error for about a week
I was referring to Random Access Memory, yes. Could you post some some full sized screen shots? There may be something wrong with your display drivers and/or gpu. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
well, safe and easy fix would be using repair with windows 7 disc. just put on reinstall, but to keep all your data. that should fix this.
Is your theme looking like this: Or this: When Windows runs out of or low on video memory it will temporarily disable the Aero glass effect. Is that the issue your are having?
thank you everypony for your help! I tried all suggestions to no positive outcome, but now that the computer has been Re-booted, It's back to normal! :3 I don't know which one worked in particular, but it works, so, Thank you Grey LEBH Tyro Yeti Mike406 and last but not least, Dragonbait
Good news! Sometimes the quickest fix is something as simple as a reboot. Silly Windows, you never cease to surprise me.:derpe:
