Iron Blade woke up. He was in the top room of the east tower, his home. He looked out the window and examined the ponies below. "nice day for a stroll..." He said to himself. He put on his body armor and walked down to the streets to take a little walk to wake himself up fully.
Rashall had just finished his inspection of the area surrounding the town of Ponyville. It was early enough that none of the ponies where up yet, he smiled as he stood on a hill that had a lone tree on top of it. He liked this hill as it had an unrestricted view of Ponyville and the surrounding land. He sat down underneath the tree leaning on it slightly and just gazed out over the land he was to guard.
Facade frowned as he drew up his wagon to the very outskirts of Ponyville. He read the sign and snorted with distaste. "Ponyville? Yes...I remember Trixie saying something about this place...What was it? To avoid at all cost." His stomach rebelled against this decision and rumbled violently causing him to wince. "But...extreme circumstances." He pulled the wagon up into the town square and began setting up his small stage awaiting the crowds of Pony that would come later in the day.
The opening sign was finally finished. Jhera placed it gingerly within the window, and sighed. It was all finished, his move, his building, and now his shop. Fillydelphia was no place for a florist, but he had heard rumors that Ponyville was a much more suitable place. A passerby mare stopped and glanced at the sign, than at Jhera. She trotted up to him. "Excuse me, what is this?" she said. Jhera turned in surprise, as he had not seen her walk up. "OH!" he exclaimed. "I didn't see you there, this is my new shop I have just completed setting up. I sell flowers here." Her face instantly lit up. "Flowers?" she said, "Great! A new place to get gifts for my friends! I'm going to go tell everyone about you!" and she was instantly gone. Jhera couldn't help but smile. He was going to like it here.
As Blade walked about, he gained more attention from the surrounding proper ponies, who simply questioned his motives for walking in his armor. It was really just a pride thing, Blade had been through a lot in that armor. Suddenly, a royal guard approached him and whispered, "the princes would like to see you..." Blade sighed and began to head to the castle. He stood infront of Celestia and asked, "what do you need, princess?" "I've taken note of your prolonged service, Blade, and decided to give you a vacation from your duties." the princess replied. "B...but princess, I..." "No buts. You need a break. Im sending you to ponyville, I heard it's nice and quiet there. You'll be staying in the library with my student, Twilight." Blade sighed and said, "as you wish..." "it's just a short break. A pony can't spend his whole life undercover." Celestia's magic soon teleported Blade to the center of ponyville, where Blade saw a performance was about to take place.O
Aima opened the doors to the Ponyville hospital. The fresh air from outside filled her lungs as an ambitious smile spread across her face. She pulled her hair and out and let her mane down. "Ah Celestia I feel great, what's there to do." She wandered off towards the center of town.
Blade walked into the crowd to watch the show. Many ponies where curious of his black and red body armor, but the others simply didn't care.
As Rashall sat on the top of the hill he noticed the flash of light and saw a pony standing there. He simply smiled after a moment he decided to go a check on Twilight, the purple unicorn was the only one in town that really knew him after all. As he entered the town all the ponies got out of his way, all they saw was pony wearing a black cloak and hood none wished to approach him. It was then that Rashall noticed the crowed gathering in the center of town. All the other ponies instantly backed away from him save a few.
Jhera sprinted out of the pastry shop as his distraction to get away from Pinkie Pie came into effect. He looked around the corner of the building to see if she had followed, but saw nothing. He breathed a sigh of relief. "I am NEVER asking that pony for directions again!" he whispered. "Does she treat ALL newcomers like that!?" Jhera looked up and saw that nearby a bunch of ponies had gathered around what looked like a stage. Wondering what all the commotion was about, he wandered over.
Blade soon noticed a pony wearing a black cloak walk into a flower shop, 'that's just the kind of pony I don't trust... Then again, I'm wearing black and red armor in a peaceful village..." He decided to at least walk past the flower shop to see what the odd pony was doing there
Rashall noticed the pony in armor following him and decided to confront him. "Why are you following me?" asks Rashall.
"I'm sorry, sir... It's just... Natural trust issues." Blade still felt suspicious of the pony, something just felt off, but he didn't know if it was in a good or bad way.
"Hmmm and who would you be? Regular guard is unlikely, not enough armor, no seems like you would be the operative sort. Why would an operative be here in little ol Ponyville?" says Rashall loud enough for others to hear.
Facade peeked out and grinned. "So many ponies! This will be an easy stuff!" He slowly scanned the crowd and stared at a Pegasus with an odd Rainbow tail. "She looks...brash. Easy to control." He chuckled and walked out onto the stage his eyes sweeping the crowd. "Hello every pony! I see you ponies have some actual curiosity! Excellent!" 'Handle this carefully...I can see the distrust in most of there eyes...Damn it Trixie.' He thought nervously. "Well I shall reward all you ponies for gathering around my stage with an amazing show! A trick so astounding it will shock you all! But I of course need a volunteer..." Facade's eye twitched when he saw the Pegasus he picked out earlier fly off. 'Improvise!' He saw a pony enter the crowd and he decided to use him. "You! In the back! The one that just entered the square! Please come on up!" (That's you Jhera!)
Blade thought for a second and decided to tell his story, "My name is Iron Blade. I'm an agent for Celestia herself. I was sent here after celestia decided I needed a vacation. That's about all there is."
Jhera was horrorstricken when he was called out at the show. 'I don't even know anypony here! What if I make a fool of myself for a first impression!?' he thought. Jhera took a deep breath of air and slowly inched onto the stage.
'Nervous Pony...Easy to manipulate!' He thought with glee. As the pony got onto his stage he nodded. "Good! Now please tell the crowd you name and list one thing you could never, ever, bear to do in public! It's all for the show. Don't worry your little head about it." He added in hoping he wouldn't scare off his example.
Rashall had been listening in on what was going on stage. "My names Rashall Firemane and right now I think both of us should pay attention to whats happening on that stage." said Rashall nodding his head towards the stage.
Jhera turned and looked at the crowd. Everypony's eyes bore into him. Jhera felt his knees lock. "Well...I...uhh.." he stuttered. Jhera looked to his side and saw that the magician was beginning to get an impatient look on his face. He swallowed. "My name is Jhera Flowers, and...well, I never really WAS very good at ice skating...I never planned to do it anymore..." Jhera felt a little proud of himself right then. There was absolutely no way this pony could get him any ice at this time of the year. Hopefully, he would get this one off easy.
