By now, most ,I say most because one of my brony friends is only on season 2, fans have seen twilight as an alicorn. I used to hate the idea, until i saw all the merch that would come out. It took me forever to watch the episode with out bursting into tears from the True, true friend song. After rewatching the episode, i noticed a lot of background derpy(ies). Is it the animators/whatever's way of showing us she's still around? Eh, I'm probably seeing to far into it :derpe:. Oh well. I have fallen into the sense that season four will be the final season. I mean, come on, her destiny is fulfilled. The most they can do in season four is have a lot of fan service and filler episodes.

In other news, regarding the finale, I think it was amazing. Not the best, but by far not the worst. The singing was amazing, and the episode in all was amazing. A lot of fans think it should've been a 2-parter/she shouldn't be an alicorn/ whatever is the new topic now. I feel that they think the show is just for them. My sister , whose four, loved it. It kept her attention way more than the two-parter ones. She was excited to see Twilight Sparkle as an alicorn.

This is what I have been waiting for... the opinion of the demographic. Too many bronies like to complain and bash the writers for "slipping." As far as it being the last season, I wouldn't go that far just yet. 5 of the mane 6 still need to fulfill their destinies and the CMC's flanks are still "very bare."

As for Derpy, I think it was just a bit of a nod to all the bronies who wanted to see her again. Whether or not Hasbro acknowledges our devotion to the show, the writers seem to still be very appreciative and give us little nods here and there as long as it's not too extreme (like giving Lyra hands or something like that). Yeah, it's fan service but it's pretty non-invasive.
