As we all know Discord is going to return on Saturday's new Season 3 episode Keep Calm and Flutter On so here's the question do you think Discord will become a reacurring villain or can the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony change and actually become good?
I hope his appearance isn't as a villain, but rather, just as a character. Unless they have some kind of spin on things, I don't think he'd be very interesting a second time, unless he was presented in a new way (as a normal character).
These are the reasons I still haven't watched past the first episode of season three. They've obviously run out of ideas for they keep bringing back characters who should already be finished.
I wouldn't say they've run out of ideas, but this episode does seem like one of those "feed the fans" episodes, or whatever the correct term is. Don't matter to me though, I'm going to watch it.
That's why I think Season 3 has been great because so many moments and episodes we've been wanting and or expecting to see have finally happened that just proves that Hasbro and The Hub loves us bronies.
I don't think anything can beat the Season 2 finale. That had just about everything the fans could have wanted.
Yes, cannot wait to see how the episode turns out! With all this suspense I have noticed a recurring theme. It's not bad, it's just the idea of Trixie coming into play again and that pretty much gets her rendered as an acquaintance. Maybe the mane six see her as a friend now, but never mind that. Though, I wonder what else they will come out with. More villains later on? If anything Discord does have a chance to become good!

Discord is the Spirit of Chaos & Disharmony, that will not change, but yes his chaotic powers could be used in Celestia & The Pony's favor as opposed to being used against them, but either way, who cares, ITS DISCORD!!! He's always a fun guy. Thankfully many things the writers do/want to see also happen to be things bronies/pegasisters want to see.
I am looking forward to this episode so much! We'll see whether or not Discord turns good, but personally I've always seen him as a neutral kind of guy. After all, the best kind of chaos is the one which isn't tied down by moral standpoints.
I've never thought about Discord being neutral before I always thought he was a evil villain but you're right maybe he's just one of those people who doesn't realize what he's doing is wrong, he just knows that he's having fun.
Despite I have yet to see the previous episodes he is in, he seems to be a villain I really like from what I've read and saw of him in parodies. He kinda has the embodiment of evil look similar to Satan or other malevolent, scary entities, but he looks innocent to be in a kids cartoon since he doesn't look as scary. Plus I've heard his voice and he has the best male voice on the show. (Ashleigh Ball is my favorite MLP VA cause both Applejack and Rainbow Dash has the best voices).
He did say "Most of the time" so left some gray area. I'm not so sure the case is completely closed yet. For now it seems to be but who knows about later on.
I doubt he's going to be completely good from now on, Discord is still going to be Discord, as least as much as they'll let him get away with. Although I doubt we're going to see him again for awhile anyhow.
well, I hope that Discord will be in general good, but still stay little reckless and chaotic (transform bunny to beast here and there, turn house upside down etc.).
