Distant Love

After putting on some make-up, jewellery and a dress she bought from carousel boutique the previous night. Bright Heart set out to go to the single's party where the main goal (for her at least) was to get an accepting and perfect wife stallionfriend or marefriend. she walked to the door grabbing her saddlebag and a bottle of red wine she got for the evening's host.

 

Vladimir exited the hotel he was staying at and put his hoof up to hide his eyes from the sun. He had stayed up late the night before working and regretted it greatly. He was wearing a tux and felt mildly uncomfortable as he began walking to his destination. He noticed several people look his way as he walked past them, and it made his unease much worse. "Play up your appearance, play up your job. People love artists." He sighed thinking about his friend's advice.

 

Nightshade glared at the Timber-Wolf that stood, snarling, in front of her.
"You think you can take me, pup? Bring it on."
With a vicious growl, the creature charged, intent on sinking his teeth into the pony's throat.

Nightshade grinned, dodged the attack, and aimed a ferocious kick at the beast's neck.
The Timber-Wolf was sent flying towards a nearby tree, where it shattered.

"That was pretty good, boy. You almost had me that time.
Pull yourself together, and let's head home. That's enough training for today."

In less than thirty seconds, the Timber-Wolf, Hemlock, had reassembled his body and was following Nightshade out of the forest.
As they walked into town, Nightshade told her friend about the decision she had recently made.
"You know, Hemlock, I've been thinking...
The dojo is doing well, Dad managed to smooth over that mess in Canterlot... I don't have anything holding me back anymore.
I've decided to start dating again."

Hemlock whined, concerned. Nightshade's relationships rarely ended well.
She looked at him and laughed.
"Oh, come on! It'll be different this time! I promise!"

 

Ebony would have done the one thing that she could have never thought of ever doing! She dressed up! Having brushed the clippings and chunks from her mane, actually had a long and thorough bath, and putting something 'pretty' on, a Pink and purple dress! Stuff 'going with her mane' she was just going to be all fancy and stuff! Buy why was she doing all this beautification? Well, this was the one chance she would get for getting herself a partner! A few incidents down south of Ponyville, harming trees and such, led to a much larger income being raked in, and as such, she was free! No more working to just dig in enough bits to survive! She would have enough money to even hire a lumberjack or two, just to help with the work! So out she set! She had, when visiting the market and such for food, overheard something about a 'Singles Party'! She may not have known exactly what that was, but she could guess! And from guesses building into plans, she made her move, now walking, and even entering the location of the party~ If only her parents could see her now!

 

The sun shone through the curtains, shining into a stallions eyes. He could have just slept in like another normal pony, but once awake he couldn't go back to sleep. Blaze Shine got out of bed and stretched, allowing the tattoos on his legs to extend. He remembered a note on the fridge and looked at it. Blaze read it and sighed, at the same time wanting to and not wanting to go to this "single party". The blacksmith was closed because of a recent fire started by outraged buyers who thought that the prices on the rings Blaze made were outrageous. So they successfully burnt half of the building down.
Blaze Shine took a note book and rad the writing on it, "First things first, thirty minute run. Secondly, to get showered and get ready for that party." Blaze Shine opened his front door, the sun blinding his eyes. Blaze Shine (or Sunspot as others have called him before) began running, he started off with an easy jog before going average.

 

Blitz didn't put much makeup on, she wore a black dress with a rainbow ribbon tied on the back and her mane was tied in a very annoying ponytail! She honestly wished she didn't have to dress up today, but loneliness got the best of her, she trotted to the "Singles Party" in hopes of finding the soulmate of her dreams. But she slipped on an ice cube as soon as she walked in falling face first..."At least i'm inside the party..." She mumbled.

 

Blaze Shine had finished his morning workout, followed by a sandwich and salad. He then took a shower and got ready for the "single party" afterwards. Blaze looked decent. Combing his hair was never his style but did it anyway, and that was followed with brushing his teeth really good. He looked at his neon red eyes, wandering what others would think of him. Blaze Shine never really spoke to any pony unless it was about business and bills. He looked in the mirror, "Alright Sunspot, your gonna haft to be more social, no more of this depression and sadness. Straiten up Stallion, act like a gentlemen, don't be afraid. Be yourself," Blaze told himself before thinking about that last part. Being himself was like being a turtle in it's shell, "Nevermind, be the Stallion you were meant to be, do NOT give up."
Blaze Shine trotted out of his home locking the door behind him. He then made his way to the party.

 

Ebony would wander, after entering the singles party, with no clue what to do. She was not confident enough to just walk up to and have a chat! No way! So she just picked a nice corner and waited! Filling herself with the thought that maybe if she just stood there, she would either gain enough confidence to engge in conversation with somepony, mare OR stallion, or somepony else would come over and try converse with her!

 

Nightshade, with Hemlock at her side, returned home to the small apartment over the dojo, where she found a flyer sitting on her kitchen table.
"Wait... where did this come from?"
She read it quickly, and saw that it was for a singles party being hosted that night.
She groaned audibly as she realized what was happening.
"Great... he's starting another roleplay. That explains the sudden desire to start dating.
I take it I'm supposed to go to this thing?"

Slightly annoyed by the interruption to her life, Nightshade spoke quietly.

The realization that the bowl was filled with her favorite triple-berry punch caused her annoyance to vanish, and she helped herself to a cup.

 

Bright Heart arrived at the party offering the wine to the parties host before heading over to grab a drink from the punch. Noticing Nightshade she quickly checked herself in the mirror that was hanging in the hallway and approached Shade with a smile. "Evening, enjoying the party so far. Even though it hasn't started yet. Name's Bright Star by the way."

Vlad approached the house and let out a breath he was sure he had been holding since he left the hotel. "Make an entrance..."

He threw open the door and walked slowly, giving off a false aura of confidence. He looked around, and seeing a couple ponies by the punch bowl, approached it. Hearing the two talking already he went for a drink and waited for a chance to introduce himself.

 

Nighshade smiled at the Unicorn.
"I'm Nightshade. It's nice to meet you, Bright."
She looked around. More guests were arriving every few moments.
"By the way, do you know who's hosting this party?
I just got here, and I'm not entire sure what's going on."

 

"I honestly don't know. Anyway what exactly do you do for a living. I work as a teacher over at the Ponyville high school teaching citizenship." She took a sip of her drink and became a bit more relaxed as she talked to nightshade.

 

"I'm a teacher, too... well, sort of."
She grinned.
"I teach mixed martial arts, also in Ponyville. I own the dojo near the Carousel Boutique."

She glanced at the Pegasus standing nearby.
"Well? What are you waiting for? Come and introduce yourself!"

 

"I finally made it." Blaze Shine said to himself before walking into the party. He saw various ponies, talking, sharing stories...'There are no arguments? Thats good
Blaze walked around for a bit, listening in to random conversations. But he wasn't interested, he wanted physical action, like a game or a fight. Blaze Shine went up to the nearest mirror and looked himself up and down, "Aight' Sunspot, play it cool. Don't be a dissident and be active. Straiten up, it's either nut up or shut up." he told himself.

 

"Oh. Right, didn't want to intrude on you two. I'm Vladimir, the vampire!" He flashed a smile at the two of them. "At least, that's what my friends call me." He held out a hoof to Bright, and bowed slightly.

 

Bright curtsied at Vladmir smiling, she also shook his hoof. "Pleasure to meet you Vlad. So what's your usual day job or do you prefer working the night." Bright smiled before trying to start up a bit of conversation. "So get up to any adventure's or the like. Me this is pretty much my first proper outing. My niece FireHeart on the other hand..."
