I do!! She's my fav villain, because she has cool colours, a great personality and a beautiful crown!!! What about you? :derpe:
Yes, very much so. She wasn't the most effective villain, but she was certainly the most charismatic.
As a villain? Yes, I do. One of the better villains in the show probably only rivaled by Discord or Tirek.
I'm actually not that big a fan of her. I DO like her but she's probably next to last in my villain hierarchy... just above NMM. Not sure why but something about her just doesn't click with me like it does with others. *deploys hate shields*
Chrysalis is my second favorite, sorry but Discord takes the cake for first, there is no way he couldn't.
My favorite villain would be Sombra, but I do like Chrysalis. Although she did fail to take over a kingdom, yet, she devised a plan to take the enemy out from the inside, rather than be a crazed warlock and just simply attack. Her personality also caught my eye.
I do hope she makes a comeback - if not in Season 5, then sometime. It was nice to see her in the comic, but, a television appearance would be better.
I like her. She was one of the few villains that actually had some sort of a support/army, and in the comic were she returned she was very interesting (and she killed an entire race of sapient cats). I would like to see her make a final comeback in the show proper but with how the show is looking to progress I don't see that unless we get some sort of an "all your previous enemies united" episode.
As far as villains go in general, she was a good one; loved her design and voice, and of the main villains she remains one of the most cunning. But I'm afraid that said, she ranks low on my favorite overall bad guy list, i.e Discord > Tirek > Nightmare Moon coming before her, and only Sombra coming after. At the end of the day she's a parasite that needs to absorb power to be strong, which isn't something I've ever particularly enjoyed in villains. Tirek also absorbs power, but I found his methods of gaining it and using it to be far more menacing and interesting. Without her army of Changelings, the ability to trick others and any love or emotion she's drained, chrysalis doesn't seem that strong. The only reason she beat Celestia was because of being pumped up on Shining Armor's love like a steroid, as she said herself.
I think she served her purpose, so there's no reason to bring her back. Either create a new villain, or "reinvent" villains like Arabus, Hydria or the Raptorians. But don't bring back Chrysalis.
Discord had the most cunning, Tirek had the most power and Nightmare Moon and Sombra were mostly important as plot devices, so Queen Crysalis does make it into my top three, probably even top two villains. She was particularly cunning in fooling Celestia and planning to infiltrate Canterlot, but ultimately only got her one two-parter, so I'd like to see more of her. Well, she is awful ugly to be honest. I mean come on... The holes n' stuff on her legs... What is up with that. But as a villain, she kicked some ass to be fair. I mean damn. She probably did more plotting and planning than any other villain to say the least.
