So I have decided to take my hand at drawing (finally) and got my gear ready for the job. My sister just went to college this year, and she managed to nick the drawing tablet too, causing a huge problem with being able to make good lines. When I asked her what drawing program she had used when she was here, she said some wierd thing, but also said that it wasnt compatable with my current computer. I have a windows vista. Anybody know a good drawing program that I could get that would work good?

P.S. I'll get to the tablet problem later, I just need some insight as to a good program.

Paint tools SAI is what I use.

I believe some other good ones are manga studio, Art rage, GIMP and photoshop. I prefer SAI though.

on my first try with SAI i did this, i had not much time for it, since i have to go to work in a few minutes, but well i thought a first try wouldnt be bad. Really simple to use and very organized

    http://fav.me/d4uhql7

So i decided to use it from now on. Gimp is better for correctional work for me though.

I wanted to use SAI as well, heard a lot of good stuff about it, but could find the mac version, so I'm using Gimp. I's pretty good, similar to Photoshop but free xD

GIMP or Photoshop. It seems paper is becoming a lost medium.

    I use Sketchbook Copic Edition.

It's kind of tricky to use and has a limited colour palette though....
