"Dragonshy" is my favorite episode! Fluttershy in this episode is really great, generally the plot is good and interesing... And of course this epsiode is funny, also thanks to Pinkie Pie...
It is indeed a very nice episode, can't wait till we re-air it on the episode. Best moment, flutter's dragonrage or the 'eep' /cliff/crack manoeuvre -
Ahhh. This is the one that started it all for me! It set me a few foundations so far as character building is concerned.
"A hop, skip, and jump. Just move your little rump. You can do it if you try, with a hop, skip and jump!"
I LOVE the episode Dragonshy as it was the first episode of MLP I ever watched! And Fluttershy shows that she can be pretty cool sometimes. :derpe:
This is yet another episode that contradicts "Power Ponies". The show establishes very clearly that, if all of her friends are in danger, Fluttershy won't just stand there and say "Oh, I'm not angry right now." Quite the opposite, she will pummel the one foolish enough to attack her friends. I know the point of "Power Ponies" was to put Spike in a pedestal (quite unnecessary in my opinion, I don't get all the "Spike is useless" complaints), but I have to use this quote from Phelous to describe what "Power Ponies" did to Fluttershy: "This isn't just character derailment, it's outright character assassination".
We've just finished examining this one: Talked a lot about convention hygiene and harassment policies. anyway, check it out!
This was a excellent episode. It's one that shows Fluttershy being brave against odd far out of her control. She does manage to use her animal communication skills to set the dragon stright and it's because of that little skill, that she became much stronger. I mean her will is more iron than we would of ever though, especially with the episode which Fluttershy stares down a cockatrice and wins! Fluttershy's abilities make her like a hero to me. She maybe shy, but you never want to piss her off.
Agreed. This is the episode I would show to introduce people to MLP. It has all the characters, got a strong, classic adventure story, and some really great twists and turns. And yes, by the end, Fluttershy is the hero. Even if you're a bit timid, that doesn't mean you've got nothing to contribute.
Fluttershy is a lot like Belldandy in many ways. One of them is that they are both kind, gentle and peaceful, but can be fierce if the situation calls for it.
