Since I couldn't sleep at night knowing I had missed a weekend, I ran a game proceeding EPRP Easy. No combat, plenty of danger! Chaos Lightning, AKA Dasher the Unicorn hosted a racing competition! The racers got to compete in a deadly track of elemental hazards! Comments?
I won something! Not the race, that would be silly, but I felt way too happy when I won that ribbony thing. I really enjoyed this. Fighting's fun and all, but it's so much better when things are mixed up.
I really liked having a (mostly) non-combat encounter. I agree that it was a nice change of pace. I came so very, very close right there at the end. If only my dodge rolls hadn't been about as low as you can get without critically failing twice in a row, I'd have had a real shot at winning. Alas, the dice gods were very strongly against me. I wouldn't mind seeing more competitive games like this on occasion. It would make things fair if the events cycled through so they mostly support certain classes, but other classes can still try to compete, much like this one.
Aww, I missed something then? I doubt Om'hkow would have gotten close to winning anyways. He'd just try to summon tendrils to pull everyone back while he went ahead. Sounds like y'all had a lot of fun, though!
Don't worry Jhera, I took advantage of the fact that the group was made up of mostly fliers and had an aerial race. I hope you had some good sleep.
Oh how much fun it was watching you guys race and curse the dice gods while there was me, just sitting there trying to remember who's in what place while being suffocated by funnel cake. Right, cause there totally wasn't ponies using each others faces as spring boards
