*Spartan Will looked around The Cryo Room he was in he was supposed to find this Spartan II called Marcus 097 in one of the Cryo Pods in this room he checked the map implemented into his armour and found the Spartan II at the end of the Room ... he was big and was in an old set of MK VI armour he pressed a few buttons and the Cryo Tube opened and the SPARTAN II lay still as he woke up*
"Glad tosee your awake Will." Leah approached Will from behind. "So what are you doing waking up the big guy?"
"We need him for our next mission Leah" *he looked back to the SPARTAN II and saw he was starting to stir from his slumber*
dust was sitting in a chair not so far from there. He had his helmet off as he drank from a bottle of water. Once he was finished, he put it back on and waited for further instrucions
The Cryogenic Stasis Pod hissed as the ice thawed and warm to hot air had blown on the Spartan inside the pod. The vents closed as the pod opened, a small amount escaping due to the ice and hot air creating steam. It was a blur, his vision was nearly to horrible, he could only hear ringing, and his body felt numb and tingly. He took a step forward, nearly stumbling, 097 was active once more, granted, his eyes looked bloodshot due tot he steam that met his face before exiting the pod. He stood there for several moments, his vision returning to normal and his hearing returning as well, being able to feel the rest of his body. He stared up at the light then looked down to his hands, clenching his fists and cracking his knuckles, then he began to look around, recognizing everyone in the room. "How long?" He asked firmly before cracking his own back and neck, grunting at the feel of some pain in his body, although he rather enjoyed it. Marcus 097 was a Spartan II, being in service for god knows how long, it had been years since he was last active, and since the first Spartan II's he had been there to see it all, and he was there to see it end. He was the one of the very last II's, the program being decommissioned as it moved into the Spartan III Program... oh well. There had been various injections he had been given in order to sustain the amount of combat years for him, in other words, he had been injected to have a longer life then other Spartan's, which had its upsides and downside. The downside is the fact near the middle of his life he will begin to have vision blurs and ringing in the ears, the injection was made to help keep the body fresh and young, but the mind would grow old, and thus they had to think of ways for that not to happen. Luckily, they injected only a quarter of the liquid into his brain before he went into cryogenic sleep, and thus it will cause visual and hearing problems every once in a while. But none the less, 097 was still on the line of duty, awaiting for newer orders.
"Eh a few years i guess. I honestly dont know. But its great to have the crew back...i think thats the whole crew...is it? I'm just so forgetful sometimes..."
"we should get you into a new set of armour before the mission starts, you're old MK VI armour isn't really compatible with the new weapon systems that the Master Chief discovered on Requiem 8 months ago*Will turned around and said "Follow me"
97 sighed, following Will where he would receive his armor. 97 usually gives Will grief and is a bit rebellious, but thats what makes it fun on his own part. Being rebellious gives him more options for being "human" granted he was just a soldier of war, he preferred to keep the goal of being human outside of combat as much as possible. It had been years since his last fight, for that matter last mission, so he would be rusty yet on edge with what he knew. "So, let me guess, the Covenant is acting out again?" 97 asked, curious as to why they were even thawed out.
Dust was already at the armory. He had ready the armor for the other spartan. Once it was ready to be used, he let it on a table as he went to get what he needed to put it on correctly
97 put the armor on, which did take a long while considering with how complex it was, it wasn't like putting a wet suit on, you had multiple pieces, separate and together to piece together and connect to one another. His armor was a red with the skull being on the faceplate of it, it was something he liked, skulls and death was something more of a "suicidal theme" as some call it, but he was kind of into that type of stuff thanks to past wars he attended. he activated the suits over-shielding (energy shield) and activated the helmets main systems, from which he received a bar at the top representing his shields, at the bottom left being a motion sensor with yellow blips on it, and at the bottom right being an empty slot for a weapon and how many rounds it had.
97 took the rifle, looking it over as his helmet swiftly scanned it, indicating its statistics and the such. He grabbed three extra clips for the road, putting them in a metal container to either side of his waist, as well as two frag grenades, "So, care to brief me in on what this mission is about? Why are there no other troops down here?"
"the mission is simple get into the Condor Dropship in the hanger waiting for us and use it's slipspace drive to get to the forerunner shield world located here" *a map appeared out of the holo pad on his wrist* "on the edge of the galaxy ... and Marcus all the other troops have been deployed on the Halo Installation below us to place tactical HAVOC mines in the Flood Infested areas of the Ring" *Will picked up his Arctic Camo Battle Rifle and his Boltshot from his locker and equipped the autosentry armour ability and grabbed 12 extra mags for each weapon from the stockpile of ammo next to his locker ... as he walked out of the room* "I'll be waiting at the Hanger if you need me"
