    The only reason I even know is because I have a red cross donor card in my wallet, lol

    which reminds me I haven't given blood in a while; maybe I should go do that soon. FYI: Giving blood is super easy, and they usually give you free cookies and stuff... Save a life, get a free cookie, sounds like a good deal to me

    Also, it's more useful to give at random times of the year and not during special occasions; I hear that they have like too many people coming in at christmas but then they have shortages in the summer when no one is thinking about it.

    i'm actually blood donor in Croatia as well. That's how I know my blood type.
    here, you get free lunch, and you can get excuse me card so you can get a day off from work/college/school if you want to.
