So I was thinking...we need a community forum for EP. One where we can discuss community events, weddings, birthdays, thanks, celebrations, and we can even stick the "Your Face" thread in there. Anything you want to share with the community would go in this forum. So... What do y'all think?
I think that's all covered by the Everypony Labels, Site Discussion and Announcement forums. I see where your coming from but I do think that those 3 forums cover what you're proposing.
^Yep. Site Discussion has a subforum for Community questions, praise, complaints related specifically to the site, and a Radio Discussion as well.

Well, I'm not talking about the site. I'm talking about the community. A place for us. The bronies of EP. The includes all you lovely people (yes, you too grey). A place where we can plan meetups, post photos, celebrate birthdays, share praises, make amends, and all those little personal things that just seem out of place anywhere else. It would take some forums out entirely and condense it all i nto one place. I'm sure we can also make things like an adoption lodge where older members "adopt" newbies. We can also plan community events like an Avatar Month where the participants all change their avatar according to a theme. You know, things like that. Not site related, more community related.
I like to think so :3 Perhaps Sugarcube Corner would be a good place if we do decide to make it? I mean it is the main community hub right now.
I think the site could do with more community-based activities. I quite like the avatar competition thing. And if you are going to make this new forum, they might as well condense it into one. When you put it like that, it does sound quite good.
I'm liking the whole concept but I think the "pitch" as a whole needs a lot more refinement... It's something I'd like to see a little more-thought-out or developed before we attempt anything.
I agree. It's something we can't just do immediately. This idea needs to be more fleshed out so it's flaws can be eliminated.
Come to think of it, "The Pavilion" covers all of this stuff. I'd say just neaten up that particular forum.
Perhaps you can help me out a little? I mean as far as flaws are concerned. But the point is, we simply don't need that many forums. And again, this is community only. Not site stuff.
Maybe you could put the "Announcements", "Competitions", "Introductions" and "Farewells" threads into this new area. Maybe add a few new sub-forums to it.
Oh Saikyo, Saikyo... :/ Still, that's the general consensus then? To gear the site towards that, but discuss it to a much larger degree first. What is this? A matter of moving forums? Moving the site around? Doing a one off competition? Making things monthly? Weekly? ..Etc. Etc. Totes, needs fleshing out! It's not a word but I love it: TOTES! :O
If you want it to be really organised, you can split the pavilion into two: Site discussion and Community Discussion. Site discussion could have: - The current Site Discussion - Canterlot Court - Affiliations - Everypony Labels The community discussion part could have: - Announcements - The Community Discussion which is currently found in the Site Discussion Forum - Competitions - Introductions - Farewells This is just what I've come up with now. Maybe something similar to this (with lots more work obviously)?
