IIIIDEAAAA! Hey everypony of everypony radio. I have come up with a great idea for a future PMV. But this one is ambitious and would be impossible to do on my own. So I need to first find out if I have enough ponies that would be willing to make it. My idea is to make a video about and tributing these forums and it's members. In the video members will be referenced by name, OC and cutie mark. Everyone from Admins, DJ, and forum regulars would be included that opt in. Which I'm hoping will be just about everypony. So before I go any further let me show you what song and music video I plan to mimic. Skip to 50 second to get to the point. There is also a pony cover of this song that I would plan to use instead of the original song. Because I want to make this over the top awesome and to do that I will need to borrow skills I don't have. First of all I can't draw ponies. So I will need somepony or someponies who can draw to draw a unique pose for each OC pony that is featured in the video. For example mine could be me headbanging and flipping my mane to music. Eponymous could be mimicking the devious looking pose from his PinkiePie avatar and yes I will even swallow my pride enough to have Zephyr Wind and Fluttershy staring at each other and blushing. Basically I would need a picture of each OC participating in some kind of interesting pose and would also need a transparent or chroma key-able copy of their cutie mark. Maybe the artists that draw the OC ponies would also draw custom version of the cutie marks. Also if there are any animators out there it would be extra cool if I could have my OC pony making poses and flapping her lips to the lyrics. But this is only if it is posible to get this ambitious. Another thing that would make this particularly cool, is if we had a singer that could allow us to instead scrap the cover song above and come up with our own entirely EPR related lyrics. So to summarise I would like ponies to opt in with their OCs. To do this you will need to be. -A DJ, an Admin, or a loyal member of the community (definition of this would be up for debate). -Have an OC pony, (feel free to go an make one just for this). -Have a Cutie mark -Propose a pose for an artist to draw you in. Then I will need an artist or artists who can draw ponies, that resemble the show, in colour. I think computer drawn ones would be more appropriate then hand drawn ones. They will need to draw an original pose for each OC participating. Then possibly draw custom cutie marks that will be compatitible with the video. Finally if you can sing and you would like to cover this song with a EPR exclusive version, we will all love you FOOOOREVER! even more then we already do. I intend to use my week off school on the 10th of October to start working on this. So that will be the first proposed deadline for everything.
I'm so much into that idea. However I'm not sure if you consider me enough of a loyal member of the community though I'd like to be of some help, but I'm not that good at drawing, not a singer either , but if you find something I could help with, I'd be more than eager to support that fantastic idea
I think it's a brilliant idea. However, whoever does the drawings will have a lot of work to do, giving everyone a pose and their cutie mark and whatnot. Finding a singer could take some time as well... Hopefully the plan comes into fruition. I support your idea for my pose!
Wow I'm liking this idea, I support it fully and I'd LOVE to help anyway possible. I can't sing and I just strarted drawing ponies. I also have limited skills in other areas, but I'll see what I can to. I'm limited in photoshop right now, look at sig and you'll see. I've got some idea to work out now.
Once again, my lack of an OC means I miss out. Oh well, I'm not quite certain where I stand within this community anyway. I thing nbunomad is planning a large mural with as many OCs as possible, maybe he could be contacted. If not, I know for sure there are a heck of a lot of artists capable of emulating the show's style. I quick scan of deviantART would bring up more than enough names to consider. As for the singing, I'm afraid I wouldn't even know where to look. Perhaps a big name such as JackleApp would consider doing it. He's a brilliant singer, and he's hardly an outsider to Everypony.
That's actually a good idea Lup. Jackleapp would be a great choice to sing, provided he's not busy with his own work.... A PMV of Everypony sung by someone as prolific as Jackleapp can draw major attention to the site...
I would participate... But my OC's Cutie Mark is obscured by his trademark Jacket. If he wanted to draw it, it's the Japanese Kanji for Loyalty. But hey, I don't think you guys would want me in there anyways.
I'll help out in any way that I can. Already got my OC pony, and my cutie mark. Can't draw or sing, which, yes, are the two main things needed for this, I know. What is your vision? I'm having this image of all of our OC's doing things in Ponyville, and singing this song. Something like that?
Heh heh heh. Too bad I'm not into making OC's. Oh well, I guess it's the thought that counted. This still looks interesting though. I hope this project of yours works out.
First thing I thought of when you said "Tribute" I'm not much of an artist or a vocalist, but I can help write some Everypony lyrics if you need help with that.
