Hey everypony! Now I've come up with a thread where we can all share our little reviews on movies! We take the last movie we've seen....or any movie really, and we write about it. Here's the format I would like: Title: Thoughts: (your basic review, you can write as much as you want.) What you disliked most: Favorite Moment(s): Of course, spoilers are to be expected, so watch out!! Here's a review of the last film I saw: Title: X-Men: First Class Thoughts: A huge improvement over the last two abysmal X-men films! Though nobody really looked the part the way I envisioned it, the cast was more than capable and nothing came off as cheesy. While the final act felt lacking, it was the characters that made this film great! Also, Kevin Bacon... Dislikes: I hate when they introduce characters and showcase who they are, then kill them off within 10 minutes. There are also continuity issues with the other films and especially the comics, but that's to be expected. Favorite Moments: the mutant with wind powers (who didn't get a single line), Azazel vs. The CIA, and the satellite dish scene between Erik and Charles. Got it guys? Hopefully this thread won't be a dud, so tell us what you think of a movie!
Title: The Green Lantern. Thoughts: Being a fan of The Green Lantern, I might be a tiny bit biased in a review. I loved the movie, I thought it was great. I loved the light constucts that were made in the movie. The overall style of the movie being almost all CG was kinda annoying, but it was about a galactic alien police force, so I guess I can give them a break. I was only disappointed with the ending. I felt that it went by way to fast and didn't really capture the epicness of the comics. Spoiler: ending He punched Parallax into the sun. One of the main 6 entities killed in the first movie. So much for a big screen blackest night. What you disliked most: The ending and Ryan Reynolds, I like Reynolds, it's just that to me he didn't fit all that well as Hal. Favorite Moment(s): The first time Hal goes to OA. The training with Kilowog.
Sorry Saikyo, it's a different Azazel. Dude can teleport and stab people, yo. XD! Not as interesting as your Azazel...
Title: Avatar. I have to be the first critic. Thoughts: Laaame story. Good CGI. Y U NO GOOD STORY, AVATAR? ...I just feel like there was so much more potential for the movie's story is all. Disliked most: Story. That's all I have to say. Favorite moments: The fight with the general, where the arrow goes right through his chest and... well, anything with battle really XD Additional: :Trollestia::Trollestia::Trollestia::Trollestia::Trollestia::Trollestia::Trollestia::Trollestia::Trollestia:
Yo I know 'dat foo. Nightstalker is Azazel's and Mystique's Son yo! But Zel shoulda been all like Crystal Dragon n' stuff Yo!
*Marvel-sense is tingling* Nightcrawler....not Nightstalker...XD Anyway...come on people! Review movies!!
@Thana: That's really funny, I noticed that whole Pocahontas "element borrowing" when I saw it the day it came out. For me? Title: Limitless Thoughts: This is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. It seamlessly mends a plausible concept of a pill that gives its users the ability to see farther into things, essentially and briefly becoming extremely intelligent. There's one flaw: it only lasts for one day. What ensues for the rest of the movie is a downhill battle that drags in friends, family, the Russian mob, and Wall Street. Absolutely amazing film, I recommend to anypony looking for a great watch. Dislikes: Why wasn't this movie watched more? It was pumped pretty reasonably, but wasn't popular for some reason. Maybe you all can change that. Favorite Moments: SPOILER ALERT- At what is looking to be the end, our protagonist finds himself contemplating jumping off a 30-story building, with a Russian mobster knocking down the metal door, the only thing protecting him from death. He then realizes there's one pill left. He grabs the pill and accidentally drops it into a grate. Running to locate it, he is caught. And then he remembers that before the Russian man died, he used a syringe to pump the drug into his system. And then he goes up to his body and... [If you can't handle graphic scenes, skip the rest] drinks his blood (ewww) In short, he tricks the mobster's guards and is able to kill the Russian foe.
