[HR][/HR]Growth of the community! So Everypony's last few weeks were a rapid amount of new users, activity and a lot of other updates we're gonna talk about in a couple of moments. Livestream trouble with trolls Yo mon, deez trollz be mad. Oh wait, wrong trolls. Yes, the past few weeks you should've caught on with the radio and chat trouble we had. First of all, the radio has been taken down due to some copyright violation. From what we've found out and picked up, the episodes of MLP and some of the songs aired on the radio were violating copyright, thus the radio went offline because of them. But fear not, for we made a backup radio afterwards. I am not sure if we've finished re-uploading all the songs (for i am not a DJ and not informed about this), but i am sure we're going along just fine. We also apologize to everyone watching and listening to the radio for the lack of DJs, we're really working on everything. There's more background wok than foreground, keep in mind. View these two threads for more information on the radio's taking down and putting back up: Thread 1 Thread 2 [HR][/HR] The Navbar As most of you already know, we've been talking about the Navbar a lot lately, suggesting the removal of stuff from it (like the dual "Read the rules" page, and the gallery), and adding to it. First of all, the talk started out with the Downloads section being in vain/not used lately. We see people are downloading from it, and we're grateful for that, but we expect more stuff to be added to it by YOU! Everypony is filled with an epic amount of talent, including composing and image editing. For you composers, please fill our music section of the downloads with your epic symphonies, and you visual artists, you fill it with images representing our community in it's best light. May it be comics, wallpapers, similar stuff! What are you waiting for? A lot of users have been "raging" about the user titles, so I'll keep it short. All i am going to say about this topic is the next: We've grown. That also means raising the cap of "Senior members" because a member that joined a week ago and has 100 posts to be considered a senior is kind of really weird. So, to keep long story short, here's from what to what we've changed: Junior member - 0 (unchanged) Member - changed from 30 to 750 (demands 25 times more posts) Senior member - changed from 100 to 2000 (demands 20 times more posts) [HR][/HR] Change in signature size Some people were asking about the signature size being changed and we feel like we should address it: The signature size has been shrink'd down from 1000 characters to 400. Just to inform you guys. Nothing more has been changed about the signature size, and i am sure nothing more needs changing about the signature size. More info about said topic here: Thread And while we're at it, please keep your signatures at bay with, let's say, about 250 pixels in height. Signatures are there to say something about the user that posted a post, not to be a large image attached to every post. [HR][/HR]Change of EPR forum to all EP labels That is right. We have changed the Everypony Radio forum to the official Everypony Labels forum. Here, you can submit stuff for the radio, for the youtube channel, and more! Request away, people! The Radio itself seems to be growing quite nicely, but the Youtube account seems to be lacking more new stuff. It is, definitely, of solid popularity, but we need YOUR help to help us gather more and more followers through it! Are you a composer? The lag, the delay of the posts, a lot of other minor stuff needs some attendance here and there, and cleaning up. This means, an easier to use system for all the RP chat moderators, easier and better view on the chat as in a whole by the participators, and other minor stuff. We are still thinking if changing the whole chat is a good idea, but if we find a better chat template for RPs, we'll definitely consider it. All you need to do is to keep your level of awesomeness, and continue using our RP chat. We definitely appreciate it, and you will, hopefully. [HR][/HR] That's all, folks! These 2 weeks were quite a rollercoaster for us on Everypony. Ups and downs, but we're still rolling forward into the future. And I know, the future of Everypony will be a splendid one to behold. Yeah, it has been an amazing trend of growth. Hopefully we'll continue to experience this bout of exponential growth for a long time to come. Also, the changes to the RP chat should be interesting. Not sure why there is so much lag in it, though. The other AJAX Chat I use has absolutely zero problems with lag, so not sure why ours does.
^ Say what? Please try and only post stuff that's useful to the topic in question =S Lightning, yeah it's also hard to tell whether the problem is the chat itself or the server, I'm guessing and hoping it's the chat as then we can remedy it ^^ But we'll see!
Good job on the news Jaret. It great to see this community growing so fast, i'm pround to be a part of it.
I'd like to point out that we have not been given an official reason as to why the Livestream has been taken down yet That is inded a possibility, but as far as Livestream has informed us we still have no clue why they removed our channel.
This was quiet the informative newsread. Now I need to get over my laziness and post some more for my member title too come back. -cracks knuckles-
