Drake walked into the Ashes Guild Floor. The place had an orange and red aesthetic, with banners hanging along the walls. First thing he did was take a seat at the bar. A gruff-faced man walked up to him, while cleaning a glass. "Ah, Drake! What can I get you?" "Some ice water will be fine. Thank you, Stark." Drake got up, took a swig of his water, and climbed the staircase to the second floor, where the A Rank Mages could get their jobs. He looked at the job board, and one job in particular stood out to him. "All Mage Guilds in the area! Help! My guild is being held hostage by Another guild calling themselves Havok!" Drake teared the page off the board, and walked out. He couldn't believe it. Havok was still around.
Meanwhile in Dragon Claws guild hall, Misaki was standing in front of the job board. She hadn't done a job for a couple of weeks and now she needed to earn some money. It seemed like most of the interesting jobs were already. taken. Misaki sighed, so far this day had been a disappointment. She then saw a job that she had apparently missed. She quickly took the page and rushed out of the guild hall. Maybe this day wouldn't be so bad after all.
Drake arrived in a small town south of Magnolia, Piscine. He walked into the town square, which was surrounded by Rune Knights. Drake pushed through the crowd, and displayed his identification to the Rune Knights, who let him through. Drake snapped his fingers, summing an estoc and a knife from seemingly thin air. Holding his estoc in his right hand, and his knife in his left hand backhand style. He kicked down the doors to the guild. The members of Havok stared at him."Look who came out to play, fellas! A goody-two shoes from a legal guild!" Yelled their leader. A chorus of laughter resounded from the thirty-something members present. "Are we going to let him out alive?" "NO!" The leader flipped backward onto a balcony, letting his cronies take care of him. Suddenly, a variety I magics came at him. He switched to a shield to block.
As she got of the train, Misaki ran towards the center of the small town known as Piscine. Apparently there was a guild who were held hostage here. She noticed that the town square were filled with rune knights. Misaki sighed, why couldn't them help the guild? She walked up to one of the rune knights and showed him her guild mark. The knight nodded and let her trough. Misaki noticed that someone else had kicked down the guild halls doors. Whoever that person was, he was probably really bad at sneaking.
Drake, bashed forward with his shield, deflecting the projectiles off to the side , before switching back to his estoc, and stabbing an off-guard guns-magic users in the stomach, and pulling out his blade. Drake jumped backward, and inhaled deeply, sucking in some of the blood, causing the man to fall unconscious. "Now that I've drank, I'm reenergized!" A large, crimson magic circle appeared in front of Drake. "Blood Dragon's Roar!" He put his hands around his mouth, and blowed hard, releasing a massive wave of blackish -red energy, sweeping up 4 members who couldn't dodge in time.
Misaki ran into the building. "Whoever had destroyed the door have probably defeated most of the bad guys" she said to herself as she ran trough the doors. When she was inside she noticed that at least thirty mages was there, but it seemed like one of them weren't on the bad guys side. Perhaps it was because there was a unconscious man with the same guild mark as the other mages in front of him that looked like he had been stabbed or maybe it was because the other mages looked so evil while he simply didn't, she didn't know but it was something about him that told her that he wasn't evil. "Look guys, another one." one of the mages shouted as his friends began to laugh.
-In the Steel Dragons Temple- It was quiet as it were dead. Only the sounds of wood creaking could be heard from the wind. A man slept in a room, his snores could be heard outside of the closed door. A dark figure walked up to the bed with a small device, putting it up to the sleeping mans ear. He pressed a button, and like a boat horn, it created a loud, vociferous noise knocked blankets and pillows off the bed and out the window. The figure ran out of the room, trying to hold its laughter in.
Drake looked away to notice Misaki. The members of Havok attacked her with a variety of projectiles, all extremely deadly. With haste, he jumped in front of her. "Bloody Shield!" Suddenly, a translucent shield pattered like scales appeared in front of him, absorbing the projectiles and converting them into raw magic energy. He got into a stance, and started emitting large amounts of magic energy. "Himitsu no doragon taiji āto: Ketsueki rōzu: Rakkan shāpu-ha!" (Secret Dragon Slaying Art: Blood Rose: Sanguine Sharp Waves!) Drake slammed the ground, causing Dragon-Like Spikes to come out of the ground, defeating any remaining Havok members, except for their leader. He turned to Misaki. "It's dangerous here. Leave."
Misaki found it a little rude that the man had told her to leave, but he had saved her so she guessed that she should let it go, but if she would leave now she probably wouldn't get any reward and after the train ride here she deserved one. "I am capable of defending myself, thank you very much." Misaki said, she sounded very annoyed. "I happen to be a mage."
