It's the 17th June, Fathering Sunday, the time of year when we all give our dads useless stuff like ties, deodorant, and not forgetting the all important beer coaster to place their beverages upon, often saying something like, "Old ***" :derpe: So, what have you guys done for your dads? Personally today I: - Tried making a full cooked breakfast for the first time (the eggs and toast were ok, the rest was a bit urgh ) - Got him a deodorant kit 'cause he stinks of dad smell and doesn't know how to pick his own - Made him a pony card with an OC I thought up for him - Finally got him past the Mr Freeze battle in Batman: Arkham City like I promised I would. So happy Fathers Day!
Took him out- Made him breakfast- Did the rabbits- Bought him stuff- Gave him a card adressed to a grandparent
Simply giving mine a card since he and my mom are out of town for right now, they should be back sometime today.
I woke up my dad when I read this (1:15am) to tell him happy fathers day in full knowledge that its not fathers day until the first Sunday of September here :3
My Dad's gone out with my Mum and sister for the day. But I helped hm in the shop yesterday. I guess that kind of counts.
I don't have a father. I have a grandfather though. I just give him a bunch of money. He can buy tools or whatever he needs.
Nothing. I usually just give him a hug and wish him happy Father's Day. I did make him an ultra *****in' Upside Pineapple Cake for his birthday years ago. Being diabetic, he only ate one piece.
My dad lives 1388 miles from me. I don't have a phone so I can't talk to him. I know, email. That's about all I can do. Well at least I'll see him on vacation in 3 weeks and we can go fishing together again.
My stepdad doesn't really like fathers day so I got him some tobacco since he was running low. He was happy with that, so it's all good. ^^
I sent him an e-card since he's thousands of miles away in some middle-eastern country, I think it's Kuwait. He's not even military anymore!
We all went out for breakfast, went for a long walk on the beach, got back for a little while and then went out to my other family for tea, we all had an epicly fun time, playing frisbee and stuff, I'm pooped after that.
i got him 3 cards, one from my mom, one from me and my bro, and one from my dog insisting that he is a rag to clean off the crap thats on his tongue. I also got him a new edge trimmer and trencher with an extended warranty, why? becuase he always ends up ****ing up the cord and breaking the machine. ^^
My family's having a big Father's Day lunch/dinner. Me? I'm working all day, so I can't be there for any of it.
I'll be going over to my brother's in about an hour, and we'll have lunch-dinner at their place. Nothing really special, it would seem, but I think he just appreciates any time he can spend with us as a family unit, as we weren't a very close family growing up. Oh, and my parents are divorced, so she won't be coming over.
Just picked up my dad a new stainless steel grill, then built a patio thing with paving stones for it to sit on. Nice and level and everything. He's happy with it, he's out there now sippin' beer and grillin' up some burgers.
