Ill start saying that on a personal side my mother caught me watching MLP and gave a damn about that only joking at times, how is this important... a few days before my birthday (April 6) I encountered a fellow brony on the school of arts, the guy was taking off a jacket and you could see his arms had tatoos of horses, all accross his chest too, couldnt see them but its a good guess given the size of the picture. On his left forearm I noticed this picture: http://internationaltck.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=168#/d4l48nf and on the inside of the forearm this picture: http://browse.deviantart.com/?order=9&q=lunar+republic&offset=48#/d4fdskq I approach him by playing one song with my cellphone, so thats how it is imporant how my mother knew about MLP, I told her the whole thing. Today I was driving to my french course with brony music at full volume when I encountered a slow point so I had to lower the volume, for my surprise I could hear Glaze's Beyond her garden the same song I had (I had the orchestral by JoshLo he had Mic's cover) so I turn and this guy lower his music and I played another one, since traffic was awfull we had a little competition: "who has more mlp music", eventually I defeat him (I had the ****ing laptop plugged to the stereo and I have the MLPmusicarchive whooping 19Gb). As usual I walked through the park to the course and encountered the tatoo guy who recognised me and show me his 3 new additions: Luna, discord and queen chrysalis. I was like "dude you are really into this right?" and asked him why if he had only horse based tatoos he had discord and he queen: his answer to the discord was that he only had the head which is the horse part (he beated me with that) and asked me whats wrong with the queen, my answer waas that as far as we know changelings are insect like creatures not ponies, to which he said "**** never thought about that, but it was his oldest daughter favorite anyway", the guy next to him happened to be the guy in the other car who became a brony when after he wondered about the tattoos. Some say never to believe incredible stories (hence the word in-credible), I'll leave it to you, all I can say they have been the second and third brony encounter. What about you guys, have you seen other bronies on the streets or discovered them by chance?
Actually i'll actually be productive... I have seen almost an entire team of football bronies. Me and my friends where hanging out on the bleachers above the practicing jocks... We started playing "Giggle at the Ghosties" and some of the ones on the bench came over and asked us if that was MLP... Obviously we were reluctant, but eventually said yes. Well you can guess the outcome. MLP bonding of two social status's. Sadly when the coach came over it ended instantly. My guess,... Closet Bronies.
I never met a real life brony yet, but I did go to the store and tape a little drawing on a box of Applejacks cereal. It has a picture of Applejack and says, "Applejack Approved!" I wonder if by chance a brony found it and bought it.
Two of my brony friends went into laserquest and put their name as Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie (or two other ponies, I can't exactly remember). The guy behind the desk looked at them and said "Not you two as well". Apparently, one of the other guys who worked there was a brony. I, personally, haven't come across any other bronies (who aren't my school-friends).
Well I was looking online and saw that a my little dashie movie was being made by a guy named kuser77 and I discovered that he was in dauplin for a few days and I messaged him because I was suprised to find him there. turns out that he lived in swan valley and I met him. We both didn't expect for the other person to come so I was amazed. I have to say I was very lucky, and Bless Celestia for the experience of meeting a fellow brony.
I ran into a couple of bronies literally on the street. One of them approached me because of my pony shirt and hat while I was working out on the parking lot. We had a fun conversation and I got their Skype. One of them has been planning meetups, but I had to miss the first one. The second is in its planning stages though.
I have to say, I've never met bronies irl by accident like that on street. I often wear my pony t-shirts (i'm actually wearing Dumb Fabric (with Sweetie Belle) atm), but I never came across fellow bronies like that. i've found out about couple friends that they are bronies, but usually after I told them about mlp:fim, so hey told me that they are already bronies. that's why I created a group here, so it'd be easier to find bronies irl
I know about nine bronies in my school, but not many others in person. I remember finding a brony in a news agents on our highstreet, he was wearing a shirt with Dashie's cutie mark on it. This was at the time that the first issue of the MLP mag was out, and we were both looking for it.... It wasn't in stock, so we went on an epic quest to find some. Two days later, I came into school squeeing with success and read it with mah school bronies, whilst passer-bys looked at us strangely. Haven't seen that brony since... :'(
I saw a brony with a rainbow dash shirt in Commerce, Ga at the mall and i also met 2 in hottopic at the mall of Ga, one was an employe and the other was the manager, but that was only a few days ago. I've never met anyone i know personally who is a brony.
I haven't met an irl brony yet. But my mom runs into them //all the time//.So she'll always be like,"Hey!My daughter loves My Little Pony!". Why can't I be thd one running into them?XDDD
I met brony...GRANDPARENTS. XD I was in the TRU pony aisle looking at the brushables, when this old couple came in real confused. They were having a convo about what to get 'him' for his brithday, and were going though the minis REALLY CONFUSED XD I helped them out by finding the elusive "Twilght Sparkes". XDDD Besides that, nothing. I sometimes clip on one of my pony keychains (mcd's run-Fluttershy today) on my purse when I go out-no questions yet ;A;
It must be getting more normal for boys to show interest in pony toys, eh? My nephew's grandmother on his father's side is odd. She refused to buy him a toy of that girl from Brave because it was "girly," but she was more than willing to buy him a Pinkie Pie. xD Although I'll probably end up getting him a Fluttershy toy soon. Every time I see him, he cooes about how "Fluttershy is mah fav'rite."
Just recently, as I was going into Wal-Mart, this guy was walking past me eying my shirt, and as I passed him, he yelled out "Love the shirt, brony!". I was wearing my "Radicalness" shirt at the time.
Alright another! I got into a Brony's Taxi, I was listening to AlexS Party with Pinkie, a little too loud and he heard it. He had to wave to get my attention, I pulled down the headphones and he revealed his bronydom and on the way to my house we awkwardly asked each other the basic pony questions... Favorite pony, Backround, Episode. Ect... At the end we were talkng and laughing but that ended when I had to go... It was fun for a bit. And now We are friends on Skype.
