Hello, everypony in Everypony. I'm just looking for some canon/fanon about the city of Fillydelphia. I'm writing a fan fiction and the main character (an OC) is from Fillydelphia, but finding anything solid about the city seems a moot task and it would help determine some of the things in his backstory. Also, are there any colleges or universities in the academic sense, rather than schools of magic, in fan lore?

The only other mention of the city in the series (I think) was in "Swarm of The Century." Princess Celestia could not stay in Ponyville because she had to deal with an "infestation problem." It can be assumed they were dealing with the same parasprite problem Ponyville had just dealt with
I think celestia was just SAYING that so as to not embarrass the citizens of Ponyville by visiting during the infestation because she somehow knew there was an infestation and wanted to give Twilight a break (; she just made up that infestation in fillydelphia thing
Ok. Thanks, guys. Its really been racking my mind lately to try and think up some backstory on Quill and thats a good start. What about colleges? Any information on that?
I think a lot of the pegasi from "Hurricane Fluttershy" might be from Cloudsdale, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to believe that Fillydelphia has a town full of pegasi near it, much like how Cloudsdale is right next to Ponyville.
