It was a long time coming, after a couple of months the epic season 1 of MLP FIM comes to an end, with an surprising large amount of episodes. Later on today, the final episode of Season 1'll air on The Hub. For all those who have The Hub I highly recommend you to watch it on your little (Big) screens instead of Online. Such an event happens only once in a year, so don't miss it. For the rest (Including me), we'll wait 'till PensivePony uploads her recording later on today (That'll be in about 12 hours from when I posted this thread). I am sure we all can expect an epic ending to the most epic season 1 ever. Happy watching!
The only thing I'm expecting from this episode is a good lesson about expectations just like I usually tell people Also, I want to see Canterlot again! 8DD Since I'll be visiting my sick uncle after doing some college work (typing from there, LOL), I'll only watch it tomorrow (May 7th). Don't mind spoilers, tough.
Haven't seen the actual episode yet (I always wait for youtube, it comes on too early on actual TV)
Nah, I arrived too late from college and got stuck at home. Just watched the episode. For some very odd reason, everything that I expected happened, Spoiler: except for the one thing I wanted or tought to be apropriate Princess Luna, as always, has yet to make an appearance since second episode. Sadly, she's only going for another major plot. Is it me, or Lauren Faust doesn't like Emo/melancolic-sounding characters? Or maybe she didn't even remember her until planning season 2...
Honestly I think Luna was more of an afterthought, she isn't important to the story in any way except for the events of the first 2 episodes Additionally, the first 2 episodes were the only ones not under Faust's direction in the writing. So if you think about it, I think Luna was added in by the story writers of the first 2 episodes even though she wasn't intended to be in the series in the original conception - her popularity wasn't never really anticipated so it wasn't until there was actual demand that it was decided to actually bring her back by the fans that anyone worried about her, since the first season was already completed (aside for minor details like derping derpy's eyes which could be done later, or pairing Lyra and BonBon (which could be fan service or could have just been in the way they go about adding the BG characters in)) before it ever aired there was no way to include her in any of the episodes, so the only time she could actually return is in the second season.
I know, that's pretty much what usually happens with pilot episodes. =/ Not all people thought on Ditzy being popular either. Sadly, she's merely an induced background character. A shame, because they worked characters like Celestia much nicer than I tought.
Well the thing is with all the input and the fact that the writers actually know of the fan community, there's the likelihood that fan favorites will receive more attention
...Which is a great and odd thing - usually, the show producers are mainly away from the fan community (or at least this is what it looks like). Dunno if this is bad or good in the end, tough. It works with MLP, but it doesn't with other shows. Anypony... Spoiler: Back. On. Topic. Anyone else got scared of psycho Fluttershy?
