(Alright, here I go.) Artyom was walking around the VDNKh metro station, his current home after the destruction of the town he was born. He remembered it, all the people in there, his friend, his family... all dead... He shook his head as his 3 tails started waving around. A few people where quite impressed by his tails, it was not that common to see a kitsune in there, even though he had lived in there for quite a long time. He had in his back his AK-47M, as well as his knife. Even though he had claws, he liked more using a knife, for convenience purposes. He was going to see his stepfather, who wanted something from him. He was not sure what, but it looked a bit important. As he walked by, he saw a bunch of people drinking mushroom tea and fooling around, but he didn't payed attention to them and kept walking. He cheked his pocket to see how mane MGR he had left. He had at least 300 with him... that was a decent amount for what he usually did.
Janet was zipping across the blazing Mojave desert, several duffel bags of food, water, and first aid dangling off of her as she moved. Another supply run with to a caravan group passing. Ever since the Network started broadcasting, many groups of people came to the bordered begging for help. She didn't know where all the supplies were coming or why they're being delivered, but she knew she had to deliver them to... living beings. Directives are directives. She kept her glock close to her as she neared the border. The area had been becoming rife with bandits recently...
60,000 ft above mainland Asia... Since the Divide, Planes have supposedly been non-existent in the skies of the new world. Machines capable of taking people from one place to the other side of the world was a popular way to travel. Many have never seen a plane in the sky, and even then, the lucky ones have never seen any of them fly. It was amazing to think that only a century or so ago, this was widespread amongst Old World civilization. To look down at the Earth that has been left behind.... Above what used to be mainland Asia, a black Scramjet rocketed in the atmosphere. Traveling somewhere at around Mach 24, the ship appeared to be robotic. It had only been in the air for a couple of minutes, and it was already close to Europe. The Scramjet suddenly shot something from itself, a black pod that plummeted across European continent. Just after it shot the pod, the Scramjet turned around and headed back home. The pod continued to fall towards Europe as it entered a freefall.....
-On the flooded borders of the Sailon Axis Village, mid-section of Asia- In the mist, there was a small, long pad boat. On it were two men, the old paddler who seemed to enjoy his job, and the man in black hooded leather cloak. The shoulders had a shoulder plate clipped to the cloak, and it did look like it had some armor on some parts of the arms and torso. As they arrived at a dock where there would be men with bows and arrows, one of them asked, "To what do you need stranger?" The man did not look at them, keeping his face hidden, "I am looking for passage into Sailon Axis." He said in a grim tone Both of the guards looked to each other then looked to the man, "Then so be it, the toll is twenty Shale Tokens." As if on demand, the man gave them a bag full Shale Tokens, and the man walked through the gates, revealing a small town full of mist. He was here for rest from his last journey, hopefully nothing followed him...
The pod began to separate as it fell towards the Earth, plummeting from it's near-space drop as several different pod's separated before they were going to land in remote locations across Eurasia. The pods soon began to rocket towards the Earth as they went their separate directions before ultimately crashing into the surface in remote locations. The dust began to clear as the pod opened up to bring a small robot the size of a soccer-ball out of the pod, blinking and whistling strange mechanical noises before it took off into the countryside. These little robots were used to perform reconnaissance duties by Elysium, the world superpower built out of the ruins of the Divide and a hyper-advanced technological powerhouse. These little robots were called "Droids" by some of the local populace in Europe, marvels of technological achievement back in their creation in 2002, with a single unit capable of doing the work of a team of scientists. Incredible amounts of unexplored territory were thoroughly mapped and charted by these machines during the early days of Elysium. The same was happening today, with much more advanced models. Although, these ones were armed with little laser-canons if they were to be attacked. Whatever the reason, they hovered above the countryside and began to scout Eurasia in detail.
Artyom arrived to the HQ of the city, and his father was there. "Dad, what is it?" He asked his dad. Looking at the persons in there, they had their weapons ready, had on thick clothing and gas mask with a big amount of filters for them. It looked that they were going out, to the remains of Moscow. "We are going up to scavenger for anything usefull." His father said as he got ready his weapon and cheked the ammo he had at his disposal. "You are also coming." He said as he gave Artyom a gas mask with a pair of extra filters for it. Artyom took them and put them on, then got ready to exit as they headed to a thick door that was heavily guarded, like if they wanted to stop something from going in.
The Droids went across Europe and Asia, searching for further signs of life and civilisation in more detail. The Scramjet was going to be heading home, but it instead changed course and went to America to drop more pods. A change in the parameters of its operation, as pods were shot to land in Nevada and the Core Region.
Artyom and the rest of the team exited the metro station across the door. Artyom had thick clothing as well as the others and had the gas mask on. He actually didn't need it to go outside since his specie was made by the radiation from the surface, but it made everyone else feel more comfortable with him, the only thing not covered by something were his tails. After the team exited, they started looking around in the buildings anything that might be useful for them. Anything helped, from ammunition or MGR, to even simple things, like old music Cds or stuff like that. As the team moved, Artyom noticed one of the drones moving around, surprised by it. His tales started moving around after he saw it, indicating excitement and curiosity towards it. He decided not to say anything to the team and started following from afar the droid. His fox attributes helped him move along swiftly and silent as he followed it, eager to see what it was. He had never seen a machine like that.
The jet was quickly picked by the Network but was merely observed. Radars and hidden cameras watched as the pods fell to the Earth and released a small droid. Prometheus, the main A.I. was confident that "The Big 51" base was well hidden for sensors, it being so deep underground. A couple of armed squads of androids were sent out to track down these tiny invaders as a precaution. Janet raced between two mesas as one of the pods landed near by, releasing one the small droids. A transmission was received by her from the one of the many proxy towers hidden in the environment. She looked over at the site before the transmission decoded. "All units on the surface, droid of unknown origin within borders, observe only, engage if engaged first." The travelers would have to wait. She rolled over to investigate.
The Droid's zipped about the landscape, acting as scouts across the new environment they surveyed. However, they were not hostile unless they were deliberately targeted and attacked. And even if they were, the Droid's contained a small laser cannon to defend themselves.
Artyom decided to take a closer look of the droid. He had never seen something like that in his entire life, and it looked a bit cute for him. He swiftly moved around the destroyed buildings and arrived to where the drone was, a few meters from him actually. He hoped it didn't saw him. He moved his AK - 47 to his back and started watching it move from one place to another.
The droid made some noises and beeps, before it continued to move about the landscape. Once it hit the town centre however, it remained frozen in place for a minute or so.
The droid arrived to what it used to be the red square. In there, you coyls clearly see ruins of the Kremlin. Artyom took advantage that the drone suddenly stopped and decided to see it even closer. He moved out of his hiding spot and went to where it was. Since it was small, he grabbed it to look at it in more detail. It was hevier than he expectes.
The droid suddenly made a beep out of surprise, before turning around and escaping Artyom's grasp. However, it didn't do anything after that. It just looked at Artyom as it hovered above the ground.
Artyom was quite surprised as it did that. He walked to where it was and looked down to it, not sure what to say or do whit it.
Just before Artyom could decide what would happen next, a blue light came from the Droid and completely scanned the Kitsune. Not long after, the scanner vanished as some whistles and beeps came from the robot. It soon floated in the air, before a clearly visible emblem was seen on the Robots rear. The symbol of Elysium....
"What the...?!" Artyom gasped a little after the little droid did that. What the hell did just happened?! What was that blue light?! He just kept watching it until it started floating. He then saw the emblem, not sure what it ment. "What the hell are you?!" He asked the droid as his 3 tails got together to make them look as one big tail.
Noticing the one droid that zipped by from far above, but did not care for those at that matter. As he continued to walk, he could hear footsteps... multiple footsteps as if it were a drill. He quickly moved out for he way as a truck drove passed, the side having an odd symbol on the side of black and white, and under was, 'Cryotech.' (Yes, I am bringing them back, but not overdoing like last time.) Several troops jogged behind the vehicle, having some advanced armor as well as rifles and equipment. He had his katana at the ready, his fingers on the hilt, but it would seem like it was just some military drill. He would sigh as they passed. Why were Cryotech here? Weren't they in Africa last he checked? It matters not now, he needed to find out Why they are here, and soon.
(Cryotech is kinda the only thing that could really threaten Elysium.) The droid seemed to panic, it seemed these machines did have emotion after all. It soon tried to print what was going on onto a piece of paper, out of not being able to talk. The paper came out of the droid. It said.. "Sorry! My mission is for me to help perform exploration duties for my masters in Elysium, located on Elysium Island where mainland China existed before the Collapse. Hundreds of me are currently navigating the planet and searching for new undiscovered signs of life. You also are a Kitsune, a subspecies of the Neko which resides across the world. My masters disapprove of "Beastkin", but you are only looking at me out of curiosity. That's fine!"
