This is the first digital drawing I've made.... and... it sucks. The only reason I haven't posted my bucketloads of art is because my scanner is broken and I don't have a camera. :/ Oh well, I gave it my best shot, not using a pencil to draw is kinda hard...
Hehe, her eyes are adorable! It looks much better than anything I attempt to do! I'd love to see more! ^_^
Great first attempt, especially if you're not familiar with digital art media. I know what you mean though, without pencil and paper I'm lost lol. Although if pencil and paper is the medium you're comfortable using, you should definitely hand draw some ponies and upload 'em.
It's pretty amazing, that you could do this as your first try with digital... It's certainly worth trying out digital in my opinion, hand drawing while awesome, doesn't have as much potential in my opinion... Also, takes up paper. :derpe:

Don't worry bout your first time! Mine was about 10 times worse. But overtime if u just mess around with what ever program you use you'll get the hang of things! Have you considered trying out a tablet? Im kinda in the same position your in since I'm trasitioning from traditional animation to a traditional/flash hybrid. My school just got picked to have. +200,000$ upgrade in tech over the summer and I was lucky enough to be given animation software and add ons like After Effects, 3DS MAX, Adobe Flash (cs2), 2 computers with 2 screens and A TON of add on programs. Sadly due to failure in 2d animation in the past my teacher dosent think I can handle flash professionally. So I'm stuck 2 hours after school learning how to animate all ove again >.<! it's tough but I take pride in it all! Hope you are able to learn digital art fast! it can come handy when you want to add something unique to your artwork! Thanks! I have considered it. But I figured I could get used to the mouse. Oh wow! That's good. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. Ah yes. I know what you mean, that thing keeps changing my words then I have to back and change it. It's really irritating. Wow, thank you. :`D Hehehe, what's funny is, I just randomly threw a fire-themed pony together in the new pony creator, so it was only about a month or two ago that Fire Heart was made.
keep up the good work, I myself need improvement in my drawing, I mostly focus on measurements for mine, though everyone has their style. anyways keep up the good work. brohoof for the eyes ^_^ /) (\ ^_^
